As small businesses go, Neely’s has always been more than a workplace. For over 70 years, generations of employees have helped shape this store and serve our community.

Today marks Amanda and Megan’s final day with us. We celebrate their hard work and dedication today—we are so grateful for the years they spent as members of the Neely’s team and for the countless customers they served along the way.

We wish them both success and happiness in whatever comes next for them, and we thank them for the role they’ve played in our story. We love you, ladies. 🫶🏻

School is out and honors ceremonies are over, so it’s time to celebrate our young scholars! 👏🏼

When CC came in last night to show us her report card, she had a stack of awards with her. Because we’re extra, we asked her to lay all 13 (technically 14!) of them out in front of the deli and tell us what they mean. 🤩

Wow—this gal is one smart cookie! Not only did she earn a 4.0 on the year, but she also earned awards across the board—from reading and math to media and physical education! Way to go, CC!! Keep up the great work, smart girl! 📚

Today would have been Nancy Neely’s 100th birthday.

Aunt Nancy was Neely’s Grocery.

For decades, she devoted herself not just to this store, but to the people who walked through its doors. She knew her customers, cared about their families, celebrated their successes, and believed that a neighborhood grocery store should be part of the community it serves.

One of the traditions she began was giving candy to children who brought in high marks on their report cards. It was a small gesture, but it made a big impression on a generation of local kids. And to this day, ten years after her passing, it’s a tradition we still proudly continue.

Nancy was tough when she needed to be and kind far more often than she’ll ever receive credit for. The store has changed over the years, but so much of what makes Neely’s special can be traced back to the values she lived every day here: hard work, generosity, and a genuine love for this community.

It’s hard to believe she would have been 100 years old today.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Nancy. Thank you for building something that continues to bring people together and serve this neighborhood all these years later. ❤️

Our produce cooler is fully stocked with $20 and $10 fruit salads! These are first come, first serve today, and they go quick! So swing by and pick up fruit and a chili cheese dog because it’s Wiener Wednesday! 🌭 🍉🍊🍇🍓

Fruit Friday might be replaced by Fruit Monday until graduation season is over! We were able to make about 15 $20 fruit salad trays tonight. These are currently in our produce cooler, but you can call us to reserve one! 🍉🍇🍓🍊
