The Warwood Farmers Market doesn't exist without our amazing volunteers! As we wrap up our TENTH season, we would like to highlight our volunteers who truly are the heart of our market.

Your amazing children's activities, arts, and crafts have truly made the market a special place where families can gather, grow, and connect. From painting projects to playful learning, your presence helps make the market more than just a place to shop — it’s a space for community, fun, and togetherness. 👫🌽

🌧️💛 This Week at Warwood Farmers Market 💛🌧️

We’re honored to welcome FEMA to the market this week to speak with anyone who may have been impacted by recent flooding. If you or someone you know needs assistance, stop by and connect with their team.

We're also collecting donations to support ongoing flood relief efforts from now to the end of the season. We’re accepting:
🛒 Non-perishable food
🧼 Cleaning supplies
💵 Monetary donations

All donations will be directed to OV Mutual Aid and House of the Carpenter, two exceptional organizations that are helping our neighbors recover and rebuild. We'll stamp your loyalty card as a small token of appreciation for your contribution to help our community.

The first 50 children each week get $5 in tokens to spend on fresh fruits & veggies at the market — thanks to a generous Wheeling Heritage Partnership Grant and amazing private donors 💚

But here's the deal… we’re running low on tokens to hand out, and we need YOU to help us keep the program going! When you spend your tokens, others get an opportunity to participate!

It’s a hot one today, but we’re here to keep you cool! We’re passing out FREE water to help you stay hydrated while you shop. We’ll have a mist sprinkler too, so take a lap through to cool off and do some shopping! 🌊

While you’re visiting, please take a few extra precautions to stay safe:
✅ Stay in the shade when you can
✅ Wear sunscreen & a hat
✅ Take breaks and don’t overdo it
✅ Keep an eye on kids, pets, and older folks

The Warwood Farmers Market has a lot of moving parts to make it run smoothly every week, and while it may seem that we do not need any help to pull it off, we would LOVE more volunteers to help with everything from setup, tear down, distributing items to patrons, and more. We can use all ages and ability levels, and we will work to find something you feel able and comfortable doing. Sign up today to help us GROW!

🌧️ THANK YOU, WARWOOD! 🧺

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the amazing vendors and patrons who came out to the Warwood Farmers Market yesterday! While parts of our community were dealing with significant flooding, others made a special effort to support local businesses who’ve been impacted — and we’re so grateful.

Despite the weather, you helped us reach nearly $2,000 in total sales, with over 60% spent on produce! That’s a huge win for our perishable food producers who work so hard to bring fresh, local goods to our community.

To those who couldn’t make it due to the flooding, you were missed, and we’re wishing everyone safety and recovery. We’re hoping for clearer skies next week and a return to our usual sunny, vibrant market atmosphere. 🌞

We understand that the recent flooding in Ohio County and surrounding areas may have impacted some of our vendors, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by the severe weather.

Despite the circumstances, we are planning to proceed with tomorrow’s market as scheduled. We recognize that many of our vendors deal in perishable products, and we want to support those who are still able to attend.

Additionally, please note that there will be no children’s programming tomorrow, except for the Children's Market Program, which will go on as planned.
