And just like that, our second season of the West Point Farmers Market has come to an end.
I’ve been trying to find the words to wrap up this season, and honestly, I’m not sure I can fully express how grateful I am.
When we started the West Point Farmers Market, I had hopes for what it could become. I wanted a place where local farmers, growers, makers, and small businesses could come together. A place where families could spend their Sunday mornings, children could learn, and our community could gather.
But I never imagined it would grow into what it has become in just two seasons.
Yesterday, we wrapped up our 2026 season with Halloween at the Market. We welcomed an estimated 300–350 visitors, 36 vendors, 4 Kidpreneurs, and 4 Community Helpers to our little town square.
And at one point, in between running around and making sure everything was going as planned, I had a chance to look around.
Families were walking the square. Children were laughing and enjoying activities. Vendors were visiting with customers. Neighbors were catching up with one another.
And I thought, wow, look at what this has become.
Because somewhere along the way, this farmers market became so much more than a place to shop.
It became a place for our community to come together.
And that is something I never could have accomplished on my own.
To every vendor who took a chance on our little market, whether you joined us for one Sunday or showed up week after week, thank you. You are the heart of this market.
To our sponsors, volunteers, local businesses, community organizations, and everyone who has stepped up to help bring our ideas to life, thank you. So many of the experiences we’ve been able to offer wouldn’t be possible without your generosity and support.
To the families who brought their children to Kiddie Korner, the young entrepreneurs who participated in our Kidpreneur Days, and everyone who helped make learning part of our market, thank you.
And to everyone who visited, shopped, shared a post, told a friend, or simply showed up on a Sunday morning, thank you for believing in what we’re building.
I know I’ve said it before, but when you shop at a farmers market, you’re supporting real families, real dreams, and the people who make up your community.
This season, our Kiddie Korner children explored agriculture through our educational theme, From Seed to Harvest. We spent our Sundays learning, creating, and discovering how the things we grow make their way from tiny seeds to the harvests we enjoy.
And while we’re closing the chapter on 2026, I’m already looking forward to what comes next.
🌽🚜 OUR 2027 THEME: THE AGRICULTURAL JOURNEY — FROM FARM TO TABLE & BEYOND!
Next season, we’re taking our young learners on a whole new adventure!
We’ll explore where our food comes from, the farmers and animals behind it, how agricultural products make their way into our homes, and the many ways agriculture touches our everyday lives.
Through weekly hands-on activities, crafts, games, and educational experiences, we’ll continue making Kiddie Korner a place where children can learn, explore, and have fun.
Because I believe our farmers market can be more than a place to buy things. It can be a place where children discover something new, families make memories, small businesses grow, and a community grows stronger.
There are things we’ll improve, ideas we’ll build on, and plenty more I’d love to bring to the square.
But for now, I’m simply grateful.
Grateful for two incredible seasons. Grateful for the people who have supported this little idea. And grateful to live in a community that continues to show up for one another.
I never imagined the West Point Farmers Market would become what it is today. And I can’t wait to see what we grow together next.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for an incredible 2026 season.
See you in 2027! 🌻❤️
