In Romans 8 Paul almost shouts the question…

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?"
His answer, like a flag at the top of a conquered mountain, is a resounding “NO!”

And not only “No.” He adds to it by referring to the collective “we” (Paul, you, me, and every disciple of Jesus) as “more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

You are not a conqueror because you are strong, or perfect, or righteous, or holy. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you! It’s all because of Jesus!

You are loved. And nothing will change that. Ever.

Amen!

“No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭39‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God’s Agape Love is the greatest love of all!
Even though we, throughout history, have turned away from Him, committing adultery with false gods, idols that we have worshipped, either knowingly or unknowingly has still made a way for us to repent and return back to Him! If that’s hard to believe then just read John 3:16 again! That’s the truth about how much He loves us✝️❣️

Have a Blessed Memorial Day

Are you ready for the party? It’s going to be out of this world! Literally.

We are being prepared for the marriage supper of the Lamb

As it turns out, God loves to celebrate. In the Old Testament, His people were required to set aside a portion of their income to have a nationwide party in Jerusalem. When Jesus was born, God celebrated with an angel choir. Jesus did His first miracle at a wedding party. And Jesus was even criticized for being a partier that hung around "tax collectors and sinners."

If we look at who God is, we see He‘a joyful. We often fail to picture Him this way, but God is the most joyous being in the universe. His fruit given by the presence of the Holy Spirit is joy.

I'm unsure if He tells jokes, but He certainly has a sense of humor. Who else would come up with the idea of allowing a donkey to do "divine correction" on his master? God's fun!

So, it is no surprise that one of the huge events to come is our marriage to Jesus and a party to follow. As we know, Jesus is the Groom - also called the Lamb - and the Church, which is all believers collectively, is the bride.

What a fantastic celebration of our unity! We are united as one bride. We have enough diversity to make up the whole and enough unity to be held together. In fact, some members are connectors, like joints in our physical body (Ephesians 4:16).

Think for a minute what it might like to look down the table as it stretches for thousands of miles. God's party is beyond anything we can imagine.

God has made us one. We are His body, His temple, His beloved, His bride. And God rejoices now and in the future in what He has done.

Have a blessed and joyful day 🙏😃
Love you🙏❤️✝️

“For the love of Christ controls us…”

Now we reach the core.

Paul does not say fear controls us. Or reputation. Or religious duty. He says the love of Christ controls us.

Christ died and rose again. That is not a doctrine to admire. It is a reality that claims you. “That those who live might no longer live for themselves.” If He died for all, then all matter. If He rose, then self-centered living is exposed.

The love of Christ does not merely comfort the believer. It governs him. It redirects his time, his speech, his concern. It makes private faith impossible to maintain indefinitely.

Ask plainly: does His love control you, or does it simply console you?

Control here means direction. What determines your urgency? What shapes your attention? What moves you to act?

Love must precede urgency. But when love truly takes hold, it does not leave a man unchanged. It sends him.

Let’s pray;
Lord, let Your love rule me, not merely reassure me.

“For the love of Christ controls us, because we have
concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭ESV‬‬

When God looks at you, what does He see?

It’s easy to believe that He doesn’t just see us but also that "thing" we did all those years ago that makes us wince every time we think about it. We can feel as though we stand before Him covered with stains from our past or present struggles.

One of the greatest wonders of Grace is this: when you come to Christ, you become a Whole New Person, brand new through and through. You were not just "covered" by Christ as if deep down inside, you are still the same person you used to be. Second Corinthians 5:21 says you become the very Righteousness of God—Pure and Holy right to your core.

Whatever you’ve done or has been done to you, it no longer defines you. God sees you for who you truly are: Holy, Righteous, and Pure.

It’s not that God isn’t aware of your sin, He's All-Knowing. But Psalm 103:11-13 says He has removed it from you as far as the East is from the West. If you travel East, you can keep going forever. We’re talking about your sin being moved an infinite distance away from you because Jesus died for you.

God no longer defines you by your mistakes. By His Grace, you are a Brand-New Creation in Christ. When God looks at you, He sees you as you really are – a product of Jesus’ Death, Ascension, and Resurrection – Holy, Righteous, and Pure.

“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭26‬-‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father,

Thank You that, by Your Grace, You no longer define me by my mistakes. I choose now to receive the truth that I am defined only by what Jesus has done. Thank You that I am Holy, Righteous, and Pure.

Amen.

Have a Blessed weekend 🙏

The Freedom of Surrender.
The Bible is very clear about how we benefit when we worship God through surrender. In surrender, you begin to really live the life God intended: "Only those who throw away their lives for my sake and for the sake of the Good News will ever know what it means to really live." (Mark 8:35 LB) You are set free, liberated from self-preoccupation: "But offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits. All your lives you've let sin tell you what to do. But thank God you've started listening to a new master, one whose commands set you free to live openly in his freedom!" (Romans 6:16-18 MSG) God is able to use you in great ways. Why did God choose Mary, of all women, to be the mother of Jesus? It was because she was totally surrendered to God. When the angel explained God's improbable plan, she humbly responded, "I am the Lord's servant! Let it happen as you have said." (Luke 1:38 CEV) Nothing is more powerful than a surrendered life in the hands of God.

““Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭22‬:‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭8‬:‭35‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Have a blessed day 🙏❤️

Worship: Offering Yourself to God. Offering yourself to God is what worship is all about. This act of personal surrender is called many things: such as consecration, making Jesus Lord, taking up your cross, dying to self, and yielding to the Spirit. What matters is that you do it, not what you call it. God wants your life, all of it - 95 percent is not enough. But we won't surrender to God unless we trust him. We can't trust him until we know him better. Fear keeps us from surrendering, but love casts out all fear. The more you realize how much God loves you, the easier surrender becomes. How do I know God loves me? He gives us many evidences: God says he loves you (Psalm 145:9). God cares about every detail of your life (Matthew 10:30). God gave you the capacity to enjoy all kinds of pleasure (1 Timothy 6:17). God has good plans for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). God forgives you (Psalm 86:5). God is patient with you (Psalm 145:8). God sacrificed his Son for you (Romans 5:8). God loves you infinitely more than you can imagine. If you want to know how much you matter to God, look at Christ with his arms outstretched on the cross saying, "I love you this much! I'd rather die than live without you." He is certainly worthy of our surrender.

Worship, personal surrender, isn’t just about Sunday morning church, it’s about Monday-Saturday as well! It’s more than early morning and evening prayer, it’s about taking Him with us when we go about the rest of our day, allowing the Holy Sprit to lead and guide us in everything we do and believe.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Have a blessed and wonderful day 🙏

“He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet.”

John tells us what Jesus knew before He knelt. He knew that the Father had given all things into His hands. He knew that He had come from God and was returning to God. His identity was settled. His authority was secure. There was no uncertainty in Him.

In that awareness, He rose from the table, wrapped a towel around His waist, and began to wash the disciples’ feet.

This was the task reserved for the lowest servant in the house. Cleaning off the dust of the road, the sweat, the grime.

Authority does not remove Him from humility. The One who commands wind and sea stoops. The One before whom creation stands accountable kneels before His own followers.

There is no tension in Him between greatness and service. He does not assert His position. He is secure enough to lower Himself. That is strength of a different order.

We often mistake humility for weakness. In Scripture, it is clarity. It is knowing who you are before God and therefore having nothing to prove before men. Jesus kneels not because He lacks authority, but because He possesses it fully.

This scene confronts us quietly. We may speak of following Christ while guarding our own importance. We may admire servant leadership in theory while resisting inconvenience in practice. Yet the pattern is plain. If He is Lord, then His way is not optional.

He washed the feet of Peter, who would deny Him. He washed the feet of Judas, who would betray Him. His service did not depend on the character of the recipient.

In His kingdom, greatness is measured differently. To be great, you must serve people, not rule over them from a distance.

Let’s pray,
Lord Jesus, form real humility in us.Establish in us a confidence that does not seek recognition and a heart willing to serve everyone around us, in Your Name, Amen.

Have a blessed day 🙏❤️

“Jesus wept.”

The shortest verse in Scripture carries more weight than its length suggests.

Jesus stands at the tomb of Lazarus. He knows what He is about to do. He has already declared that this sickness will not end in death. He has already told Martha that He is the resurrection and the life.

And yet, when He sees the grief around Him, He weeps.

He does not rush past the moment. He does not dismiss the sorrow because He knows the outcome. He enters it.

The One who commands storms allows Himself to feel loss. The One who will call a dead man from a grave does not stand detached from the pain of those who mourn. He does not rebuke their tears. He joins them.

Jesus does not weep because He is uncertain. He weeps because He loves.

There are pictures of Jesus that are incomplete. Some imagine Him as only gentle, never strong. Others imagine Him as only strong, never moved. The Gospels refuse both reductions.

He confronts death and feels its weight. He stands over the grave and still grieves what sin has done to the world He made.

The person of Christ cannot be reduced to force alone. His heart is visible in His tears. His authority does not cancel His tenderness.

As we follow Him, we must allow both strength and compassion to grow in us.

Let’s pray.
Jesus, show me Your true heart. Correct what I have misunderstood about You. Let Your strength and Your compassion reshape my own. It’s in Your Name we pray, Amen.

Have a Blessed day and weekend 🙏✝️

The Great Love of Jesus

Love is the beginning of everything. You and I have life and breath at this very moment because God loves us. God created us because He wanted a people to love, and we are the recipients of His great love.

In 1 John 4:9, John tells his readers that the primary way God showed His love toward us is through Jesus. Even while we were considered enemies of God, He sent Jesus to earth on our behalf. While Jesus was on earth, he lived a sinless life as a representative of humanity to God. His death and resurrection made a way for us to be forgiven of our sins and begin a relationship with God.

God now gives us His love freely. There is nothing that we can do to earn His love, and there’s nothing about us that deserves His love. This is why John says love comes from God (1 John 4:7).

Love is our greatest responsibility in life. Jesus made it very clear to His disciples that loving God and loving others are the two greatest commandments. But the basis for all of this is the love of God through Jesus.

John tells us in 1 John 4:7-8 that those who truly know God will also love others. Our relationship with God is the model for how we should love other people. We should never deny someone something we’ve been freely given. And since we have freely received love from God, we should also freely give love to others.

Consider some ways you can love the people around you. Sometimes simply spending time with people is the best way to love them. There might also be someone you know who needs encouragement, or help meeting their needs. Think of one or two things you can do this week to show love to someone in your life.

May your day be filled with faith, hope, and love🙏❤️
We’re told in 1 Corinthians 13 that these three things will last forever and the greatest of these is Love.
Have a wonderful and blessed day 🙏✝️

God is Close

No matter what we face, we can always seek our unchanging God. We just need to call on Him in truth.

Praying with truth requires recognizing our own brokenness. That means we need to accept and acknowledge that there is nothing we’ve done that makes us worthy of talking to our Creator.

God draws near to us because He is good, kind, merciful, and humble. And we call on Him in truth when we humbly submit our will to His and genuinely delight in Him.

This doesn’t mean we need to call on Him perfectly—we can’t. We simply need to come as we are, and acknowledge our deep need for His grace, mercy, and love. You don’t need to have your life together. You don’t need to be free from anxiety, depression, or fear. In whatever moment you find yourself, God wants you to honestly and intentionally talk to Him.

And even though we might not always sense that God is near, the Psalms remind us that God will come to anyone who calls out to Him. God’s presence is not reliant on our feelings or our perception of circumstances—He is near whether we realize it or not.

So today, come as you are to the God who loves you. Draw near to God, and allow Him to draw near to you.

Have a blessed week ahead 🙏❤️✝️
