Well last night finished it for most of my id assume twenty six degrees has ended the growing season for New Hampshire. There seems too be a rush to prepare for winter. Equipment needs winterizing sprayrigs disassembled and stored for winter the last field needs harrowing. Fertiliser spreaders to be put away let's not forget cleaning chicken houses. Finally the ribs have stopped interfering with work. And above all else my disgusting house that has been ignored for to long must get attention. Guess the house will get attention first for a little while anyway. Seasons on the farm go on forever.

Well as the season progresses soon the last cornfield will be harrowed. The fields are going to bed. Yesterday I collected soil samples. My ribs aren't great but they are getting better. Egg sales suck but hopefully things will pickup. I'm not sure how I survived the craziness of summer but it was good as it always is and of course it's dark way too much. It really doesn't change that by changing the clocks. Don't blame farmers I've never seen a cow or a chicken that cares what time it is. Any way you look at it it's just dark. That's what the animals see. We've been lucky so far as far as the weather is concerned we've had some wonderfully warm days it's all going to end. The only good thing about this is it will change again eventually and another spring and summer will come. Let's just get through this.
