It's time for a sneak peek at our vendor specials for this week!

Crust & Crumb WickedGood Sourdough is bringing specialty flavor PB&J sourdough made using her own strawberry jam!

Franny Made LLC has oatmeal raisin cookies, basil and tomato focaccia, and apple cinnamon focaccia this weekend - AND she's offering 50% off one item when you bring a towel or blanket donation for the wildlife center!

Grazelen Farm is having a sale on brisket tips - $9/lb! Preorders are encouraged!

Poplar Ridge Farms has a host of fresh veggies available this week including herbs, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuces, and more! They've also got beef, pork and lamb!

We're back on Saturday with more fresh food and fun in our community.

🥕The farmers market will be open June 6th from⏰9am-1pm⏰at Constitution Park on 215 W Main St in Waynesboro

👣Hikerfest is happening in Downtown Waynesboro starting at 11am! Don't forget to stop by the market for your groceries, and the stroll up Main Street to enjoy the festivities!

🥒Come check out all the great fruit and vegetable options available to you as we approach the start of summer! Things are getting bountiful at the market!

🍅We've got our two-bite challenge again this weekend! Kids who take two bites of our featured fruit or vegetable get Kids' Bucks to spend on market produce! What will we have for them tomorrow?

🥬We proudly accept SNAP benefits! Bring your SNAP/EBT card to the Project GROWS tent to receive tokens you can spend just like cash at eligible market vendors.

We're keeping it fresh and simple this week (but this recipe will pair perfectly with several of our future recipes): Basil Pesto.

Here's what you'll need to have on hand:

🍃Fresh basil (2-3 bunches per cup of pesto)
🥜pine nuts
fine sea salt
🫒Extra Virgin Olive Oil
🍋lemon juice
🧀Parmesan cheese
garlic

We 😍 love it 🥰 when a plan comes together!

It began last Saturday when a young man stopped by the Project GROWS booth to sample our two bite challenge (raw broccoli!). He took his $5 Kids Bucks reward from Project GROWS and used it to purchase strawberries from Berry Full Farm!

He and his grandmother used those strawberries to make homemade strawberry jam together, which was then used to make this Saturday's specialty loaf for Crust & Crumb WickedGood Sourdough: PBJ Sourdough!

This is such a great reminder of why farmers markets matter so much: time spent, unplugged, together - friends, family, and community - supporting each other, making memories, and developing life-long healthy habits.

Today, we invite YOU to join in: buy from the market, keep more of your dollars in our community, keep the collaboration going!

We have so many cool things planned this season, and we can't wait to share a few of them with you! In addition to the heart and soul of our little market - our vendors - we've got a few special celebrations planned for market-goers! Mark your calendars - we don't want you to miss out!

June 20th - Summer Kick-Off Event with the Office on Youth! Join us for bubbles, activities, and fun in the sun from 9am-1pm!

July 11th - Town Information Day! Several departments from the City of Waynesboro will join us from 9am-1pm to share information about their programs and services with marketgoers! Be on the lookout for: Waynesboro Public Library (on the book bike!), The Waynesboro Police Deparment, Early Head Start Augusta County, Shenandoah Valley Social Services, The Office on Youth, and more!

July 27th - 1st Annual Blackberry JAMboree! We're celebrating summer's bounty with a day devoted to blackberries! Join us for blackberry tasting, blackberry activities, blackberry jam, blackberry baked goods, and more!

Berry Full Farm is encouraging everyone to make a big, beautiful FRESH salad this weekend with their "Salad Special" sale! Buy 3 bags of ready to eat salad greens (mixed lettuce, arugula, baby greens, head lettuces) for only $10!

Crust & Crumb WickedGood Sourdough has chocolate sourdough and blueberry lemon scones available this weekend! Remember: because they use fresh-milled grain and a long fermentation process, this is gut-friendly bread!

Poplar Ridge Farms is bringing loads of leafy greens with them to market this weekend, along with carrots, zucchini, broccolini, radishes, salad turnips, mushrooms, and microgreens! They also have beef, pork, and lamb in stock!

Singing Earth Produce has some seriously gorgeous flowers available to buy right now. Come grab a splash of color for your kitchen or your garden at the market on Saturday!
