Ingredients:
The Base: 1 stick of butter (½ cup) + 1 cup milk
The Batter: 1 cup All-Purpose + 1 tbsp baking powder + 1 cup sugar
The Peaches on sale for .99 cents per lb: 4–5 fresh peaches (sliced) + ¼ cup sugar + 1 tbsp lemon juice + ½ tsp cinnamon
How to make it:
Melt: Drop the butter into a 9x13 pan and pop it in the oven at 350°F until melted.
Prep Peaches: Toss your fresh-sliced peaches with the ¼ cup of sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Let them sit for 5 minutes to get juicy.
Mix Batter: Whisk the flour, 1 cup of sugar, and milk in a bowl.
The Magic Step: Pour the batter over the melted butter. DO NOT STIR. 5. Dump: Spoon the peaches and all their juices right on top of the batter. DO NOT STIR.
Bake: Bake for 40–45 mins until the crust bubbles up and turns golden brown.
💡 Pro-Tip: No need to peel the peaches if you don't want to! The skins soften completely in the oven and add beautiful color.
