Founded in 1988, the Washington Farmers' Market is an annual summer tradition in Downtown Washington, Iowa. We hold our market Thursday evenings from mid-May to mid-October. We welcome all types of vendors, but are a true makers market. If you make it, bake it, or grow it yourself we'd be happy to speak with you about becoming a vendor at our bustling market. With farmers market canceled tonight, we still had to make the goodies we were working on, so we have everything ready for porch pick up (we had to move it inside while it rained) just stop by or message us if you want something!

We are so sad to announce that tonight’s Farmers Market is CANCELLED due to the severe weather.

We know what you might be thinking if the skies clear up later: "But it stopped raining before 5p!"

Here's the scoop: because of the heavy rainfall we've already received, the park grounds are incredibly saturated. Even if the sun comes out, the area is simply too wet and muddy to safely accommodate our vendors setting up and the foot traffic of all our wonderful shoppers. We want to protect the park grounds and, most importantly, keep everyone safe and slip-free!

Thank you so much for understanding. Stay safe and dry tonight, and we can't wait to see you all next week! 🚜🍅🌻
