🌿 Learn before you celebrate. 🌿

The Northern Neck and Rappahannock River have deep Indigenous history, with the Rappahannock people maintaining a connection to this land and its waterways for generations. 🐟🛶⛺️🌾

And so much of what we eat today has Indigenous roots. 🌽🫘🌻 Corn, beans, squash, sunflowers, berries, nuts, fish, shellfish, and wild game were all part of the foods and resources Indigenous People’s of Virginia relied upon. The combination of corn, beans, and squash became especially important agricultural staples.

This Indigenous People’s Day, take a moment to learn about the people, land, and foods that are part of the history of where we call home. 🤎🌾

🍂❤️ Warsaw, you showed UP! ❤️🍂

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, stopped by Rise & Set, and spent the day enjoying our little town and the Main Street magic with us! 🥹✨

There’s something so special about seeing our community come together, showing up for local businesses, supporting our neighbors, and reminding us why we love this town so much. 🫶🏼

Small towns have BIG hearts, and Warsaw, you proved that once again! ❤️ Thank you for being part of the fun, supporting one another, and making this year’s fall festival one to remember! 🍁🎃
