By appointment ONLY please so that a certain 175 lb. guardian can be advised that they aren't being stolen and he can continue doing his job. Message me.

**Geek Alert ** Move along past this post if various photos of corn will bore you. **
After waking to snow flurries this morning, I felt it was beyond time to see the results of my Glass Gem corn planting this year. For several years, I've tried different varieties of corn including various colors of Indian corn and Blue corn. I have to stagger plantings and keep them far enough apart to insure they breed true without cross-pollination.
It was exciting to see that I have a nice selection to keep for next year's planting.
Some was incompletely fertilized-possibly due to the presence of critters who took inventory as I was planting and promptly dug up and ate the kernels. Or, the woodchuck family who think that the emerging corn is a tasty snack meant just for them. Meaning that the stand of corn wasn't robust enough to be able to form complete ears. But there's enough for seed corn anyway.
And then there's Mary's photo of me dragging stalks into the atrium. Possibly to prove at a later date that maybe I am actually a little obsessed. ;) It's still below 40 degrees. My fingers were cold. none of the plants or animals care what I look like in the morning. Thank God for that.
