Thank you to the volunteers for helping making the first year a success. And thank you to everyone else that we forgot to mention 😉

Tomorrow is going to be the PERFECT day, maybe a little warm for us fall lovers, but nonetheless it’ll be gorgeous!

Walnut has several things going on for all ages!

From 9-12 it’ll be the last market of the season. Located on the 600 block of Highland St. Make sure to come out and support your favorite vendors.

From 10am-1pm is Touch-A-Truck at the park. Sponsored by the Walnut Library.

All day Saturday and Sunday is Walnut’s Fall Fest. Come downtown and shop your favorite fall finds. Grab lunch from Dirty Pig BBQ.

We hope to see everyone out and about! 🍁🍂☺️

Dirty Pig BBQ

Dirty Pig BBQ and Catering is a family owned and operated food truck and catering service based out of Walnut Iowa. Owners Steve and Amy Meek take pride in the quality of the food that they prepare for either the food truck or to private caters. They do many events in the local area as well as cater Birthday Parties, Weddings, and even small parties like foot ball parties or family dinners. They are also members of a small group of food venders that give away free meals to families struggling through the holidays.

Daily Bread Homestead

We are a local, small business run by husband and wife (Michael and Rachael) located between Harlan and Avoca. We offer home-baked goods, fresh produce, and farm fresh eggs. We love supporting our communities and local businesses and hope to bless them with a variety of delicious foods that have been grown and baked by familiar faces. God has blessed us with our acreage and our focus is on stewarding it to the best of our abilities, striving to put back in as much or more than we’ve taken from it.
