We have scallops(SOLD OUT). We smaller ones. Check comments. These are huge and perfect to accompany that steak. I defrost and pat them dry, lightly season them, and pan-fry them hot in oil and butter until the middle reaches 120°F. Then I let them rest until they reach 125-130°F. Late addition, but we just added some ribeyes that are 1.5 to 2 inches thick. (Limited quanitities)

We have these restaurant supplier butterfly breaded shrimp. I love these in the air fryer. I have a deep fryer, but because of the cleanup and health concerns, I love using the air fryer. For frozen breaded shrimp, they make great crispy shrimp.

We have lots of great tomatoes, from hothouse to vine-ripened tomatoes. Check the comments for details. ⬇

Customers love, love instant coffee. I have seen lots of social media posts showing how instant coffee is in right now, especially for summer. Add 1–2 tablespoons instant coffee to a glass. Stir in about 2 tablespoons hot tap water until completely dissolved. Add 6–8 ounces cold water, a big handful of ice, then 2–3 tablespoons milk or half-and-half (or more to taste). Sweeten with sugar, simple syrup, or flavored syrup if you like.

We have Eggland’s Best. All I can say is that cases are going out of the store. We just refilled it.

Customers asked us for more paper towels. All I can say is carts are leaving full of paper towels, and you don’t need a membership to get the discount.

We need more protein. The Cheerios Protein Bars are delicious.

The kids will be back home soon. Pick up these Cheez-It snacks for them to have as individual snacks.

We have bacon crumbles. Add some crumbles to a great salad for Dad this weekend or add them to a baked potato.

For that special meal, remember that nothing elevates a steak, fish, scallops, or shrimp like some roasted asparagus.

Pre-dry-rubbed ribs. Defrost and put them on the grill to smoke for Dad. I like to put them on the cool side with the vents over them and let them smoke for 2 hours, then wrap them. Over 40% savings. That was the result when Spectrum News reporter Melissa Krull compared a basket of everyday grocery items that she purchased at Bargain Grocery against prices at national big box stores in the area during her live report at 5 on Wednesday.

Melissa recently did a story on rising grocery costs and how families across our region are finding ways to save money. As part of the segment, she visited our store and put our prices to the test by shopping for everyday grocery items.

Her total came to $28.73. She then compared the same items to national big box stores in the area and found the total would have been $51.

Melissa shared how surprised she was by the difference in price and by how much customers can save on everyday essentials at Bargain Grocery.

Thank you to Spectrum News and Melissa Krull for featuring Bargain Grocery during the live report and highlighting how local families are stretching their grocery budgets.
