If anyone has not yet sent a statement to Heath Jacobs regarding machinist maintenance work, he is requesting they be to him by the 30th of september. The only way to get this work back is with an overwhelming amount of proof that Machinists have done this work for as far back as anyone can remember. And for that Heath needs statements from more members, then what he has received so far. If we expect him to fight for these jobs, we have to give him the statements he needs to do it. Please pass this along as I do not have everyone's contacts. Thank you
Gentlemen, this is a responsibility to those in the Topeka shops, to get our work back. You don't have to ever work maintenance, just simply tell hm how machinists have worked maintenance in your time at Topeka.

Hey everyone, Dan Cooksley, who has served as our local 378 president for many years, is retiring in Oct. So we need to vote in a new one. If you’re interested or want to nominate someone, now is your chance. Our next meeting is September the 17th, and that meeting is when we’ll start the process. So come on out and get involved.

That is all

Hey Guys,
Let’s get behind this and try to get these jobs back.

09/03/2026

General chairman Heath Jacobs is working on a Time claim to try to get machinist maintenance jobs back. He is needing as many statements from members as possible regarding how long they have worked at the Topeka facility and understood that Machinists took care, in part, of facility maintenance, crane maintenance, and mobile maintenance needs. Please include any details on what your view of the job was and what all these maintenance positions did, such as facility maintenance helped move and install equipment, crane maintenance repaired mechanical issues and performed any inspections and preventative maintenance, mobile maintenance serviced and repaired any mobile equipment on property, etc. whatever your view or understanding of those jobs was.

These statements can be written out and turned into Nick Marsh, they can be emailed directly to Heath Jacobs
([email protected]), they can be texted to Heath Jacobs
(1-423-807-6004), or myself or Nick Marsh and forwarded to Mr Jacobs. He is needing these as soon as possible to appeal the claim within the 60 days allowed. The more detailed and specific the better but more importantly he needs a large number of the members to write a statement, the more the better. If you are going to text or email Mr Jacobs please include your name and local lodge number 378 Topeka shops.

Thank you.
