Looks like the berry production is in full swing! Bushes are loaded with fruit. This rain will help a lot. The crows have been hanging around keeping an eye out for that first ripe berry. They have to wait a little longer. I'll keep you posted.

I will be in Tompkinsville with pints of blueberries in the parking lot of the Farmers Market behind Walmart, a little before 10:00 a.m. Anyone who would like local fresh berries please come see me. If you come after 10:30 I will be at Walmart shopping. Hunt me down or page me and I will meet you out front. I drive an old, red Jeep Liberty. Hope to see you there.

This year will be a lean year for blueberries. Several upper 70 degree days pushed my bushes to bloom early and the bees got busy. Then a week with 3 nights below 25 degrees froze and burned the berries and blooms. Luckily my latest variety is now blooming and a few late blooms on all the others will give me a light crop. Up dates as soon as I know more!

I’ll have frozen blueberries at Burkesville Farmers Market this Saturday. $20/gallon, $6/quart. I’ll also have strawberry freezer jam, $4.

Kids Pick A Pint Free Weekend! Sat. and Sun. 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. kids 12 and under can pick a pint of blueberries free. Bring the children and grand children for a fun hour.

Blueberries are beautiful this season! I've got many repeat customers and a few new ones. I've got friends picking the next four days. So great to have a healthy season!
