🍝 RAVIOLI OF THE WEEK!🍝

Summer is officially here and we are craving all the flavors of the season! That’s why we are doing fresh egg pasta dough laminated with fresh basil, filled with our homemade creamy ricotta cheese, grilled summer corn, parmigiano reggiano, and a hint of lemon. It goes perfectly with our herbed brown butter, or just a drizzle of your favorite olive oil! 😘🤌🏼

Ciao! We have some new followers here, so I thought I’d introduce myself! I’m Kristina, and I’m the face behind Viola’s Pantry, and granddaughter to Viola (in the second picture!) 🙋🏻‍♀️🍝

I started this business during Covid in Wichita, Kansas, making pasta out of a shared kitchen and selling it to anyone who was craving comfort (and carbs). Eventually, I opened a brick-and-mortar pasta shop and Italian market—an absolute dream come true! After moving to Phoenix and having a baby, I made the tough decision to close up shop and shift gears.

Over the past year, I’ve been doing private dinners and cooking classes.

Now, I’m back doing what I love most: sharing handmade pasta, slow-cooked sauces, and joyful food experiences with my community here in Tempe, AZ. Whether you’ve joined a class, picked up pasta from a local market, or are just finding me—thank you for being here. There’s always a seat at the table! 💫

Join us on Saturday, April 12th for Pasta Shapes of Central and Southern Italy—In Color! We’ll be making vibrant green pasta dough and shaping it into beautiful regional forms (no special tools needed!). You’ll also learn how to make a summery sauce to pair—and then we’ll sit down to a cozy family-style lunch together.

I don’t quite have the capacity to give my final words on the closing of our Wichita location.

My husband Tony and I welcomed our first child, Olivia Elise, into the world on 12/21, and are celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary today. To say it’s been an overwhelming time of my life is an understatement.

What I will say is that I am so grateful for the opportunity to have served this community. I am so proud of what my team and I built. And this change is so bittersweet.

So to keep it short until I have the capacity for more, thank you. Thank you, Wichita. Thank you to my small business community. Thank you to my staff. Thank you to my friends and family.

We will see you again in Spring 2024- ONLINE ✨

Just a reminder, we will have classes through the end of January (posted next week) where you can use your gift cards, and if not you can use them on our site in the spring.

✨Friday and Saturday will be our LAST lunch service! Comment your favorite lunch we’ve done and we will make the top two answers for tomorrow!✨

Please come spend our final days in our physical location with us! Just a reminder that this isn’t the end of Viola’s- we will take a brief break while I’m on maternity leave and then start up again ONLINE in the spring! Continue to follow us for updates, but please also give our shop some love in the final days. We’ve loved being here, Wichita!!
