Raspberries are in full production and sweet peppers and acorn squash are just beginning to share the garden stage while some other veggies like green beans and cucumbers are bowing out. Come see the entire cast at my garden stand tomorrow, Saturday, September 3rd beginning at 8:30 a.m. across the highway from Hardee's.

Saturday, July 9 I'll have sweet onions at the produce stand as well as cucumbers, green beans and the last of the red raspberries until the first week of September. The stand will be open at the park across the highway from Hardee's from 8:30 till 12:30 in the a.m.

Berry time is back, but only for a couple weeks. July 2, 8:30 -- 12:30 a.m., at the park across from Hardees I'll have black and red raspberries, onions and flower bouquets.

This morning I will have my garden stand set up at First Citizens Grove across the highway from Hardee's, albeit only until 11:30 a.m. Sadly, this will be the last time for this year. The variety of produce I've had has shrunk and time constraints on me are starting to wear me thin. However...

I'm still harvesting red raspberries. You don't have to wait till Saturday. You can get your pint or two during the week. Or if you want to put up several pints for the winter I can probably still work that in before the end of September. Red raspberries were featured at the garden stand this morning. If you missed it you can still get them berries. I have still have several pints of raspberries that were picked yesterday. Call 217 634 4245 or text 217 416 5376 to reserve yours to pick up in Tallula today or tomorrow. The price is $4.00 per pint. If you want a pint or two during the week ( or even more to put in the freezer for later) I'll be happy to deilver them M -F between 9 - 10 a.m. or 1 - 2 p.m. to your house if your house is in Petersburg, IL. No delivery fee.

Today, August 28,2021, I will not set up the garden stand. The brutal heat this week damaged the raspberries so I need to take some time to attend to them. Whenever this heat wave passes I expect the berry canes to recuperate and still produce a decent harvest. Otherwise, I still have some Amish Paste, Lemon Boy (low acid), and cherry tomatoes left. Also leeks and eggplant. Sweet red peppers are yet to come. If you live in Petersburg and not out in the boonies and will be home 9-10 a.m. or 1 - 2 p.m. during the workweek (M - F) I'd be happy to deliver any orders of what I have in stock. No delivery fee. After a 10 day vacation I will be back at First Citizen's Grove across from Hardee's on Saturday morning, August 14, 2021, with a lot of cherry tomatoes as well as some other good things from the garden. See 2nd photo.
