Yesterday, I wasn't expecting much. It was windy, raining and a bit chilly. I came out with the hope that some of our regulars would show up to get their usual eggs, bread, sausage, coffee and doggie treats.

What I saw reminded me of why I adore this market.

I saw people come out to support their favorite vendors in the wake of a storm. They huddled under The Daily Bread Bakeshop to get their fresh bagels and a cookie for their little ones. They grabbed honey from Mountain Ridge Farm and scurried over to OHF Orchards for apple c***r.

Apple Ridge Farm graced the dinner table with fresh vegetables and rabbit meat. Pies awaited a steaming cup of coffee from Simply Delicious Desserts. And Maria Menegus Farm graced my dinner table with her delicious and slightly sweet pumpkins for my homemade pumpkin soup.

What else could a simple country gal ask for?

I'm blessed beyond measure.

Stop by and see us next Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon for more yummy treats. Doesn't my soup look tasty? I already had two bowls!
