Congratulations to Poco a Poco, our June Member of the Month. Celebrating its 10th year, the Poco a Poco music festival is underway in Streator, featuring 25 free events, culminating with a community concert 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Streator Streator Township High School District 40.

Founded by mezzo soprano Kate Tombaugh, Poco a Poco attracts students, musical faculty and professional musicians from across the Midwest, coming together for a week of musical education, workshops and free public concerts.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 from both Streator Township High School and Woodland School.
Special shout out to this amazing young lady, Katherine Nunez who graduated Summa Cum Laude from SHS. Kath and her Mom arrived in Streator (from the Philippines) roughly 2 years ago. Culture adjustment obviously did not hinder Kath from graduating high school with the highest honor. Congratulations Kath!
