Good morning north country!!! We have a new edible flower jelly flavor for you folks who need to relax. CHAMOMILE!!! We grow a lot of chamomile because Eric drinks it in a tea in the evening to help him sleep. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought to make a jelly out of it before now. I’m surprised how dark green it is. I thought it would be a lighter in color and a little more yellowish. Anyways it’s pretty tasty and would make a nice before bedtime snack on a biscuit. If I get more ground cherries I’d like to make a ground cherry/chamomile version. I think the flavors would compliment each other very nicely. Come visit the She Shop this weekend, we have a lot of other great products too! All made from our home grown, pesticide free produce that we grow right here on our farm. Welp….we got the dreaded first light frost; we harvested and protected what we could, now we’ll see what survived. Keeping our fingers crossed on the corn, tomatillos and ground cherries!!!
After making crab apple jelly I got to playing with cucumbers, onions and peppers SO we now have spicy pickle relish and sweet pickle relish headed to She Shed Shop. So, we have a fresh batch if zucchini relish and ground cherry jalapeño jam headed to the She Shed Shop today!!!😋

Howdy folks, two full days of work and we finally have some ever popular bread and butter pickles headed to the She Shed Shop this morning. The first 12 jars are already spoken for so get ‘em while we got ‘em!😋
Don’t forget we also have local honey from Hurley’s as well as a vast selection of our jams, jellies, pickles, relishes, salsas, dried herbs, etc. available. We have some beautiful hand made quilts to help you stay warm and cozy with the cooler temps and don’t forget: Mary does custom order quilts and private quilting lessons after harvest is completed so get on the schedule now if you are interested!🍁😊🤪

Good morning north county! We have a fresh batch of zucchini salsa(good and spicy 🌶️) headed to the She Shed Shop this morning. We were cleaned out of this delightful product at Moosefest. We will be processing meat chickens today. Probably won’t get to ALL of them today; but if you’re on our list for batch #2 you will be hearing from us in the near future. Good morning North County and Happy Labor Day!!! We now have dilly beans and blueberry/ apple jam stocked in the She Shed and some lovely fresh Fall flower arrangements created in vintage mason jars. The bush beans didn’t do great, we only have 10 jars so get em while we got em. Let’s hope the pole beans do better. This will be the last day for PYO jam blueberries. There’s not much left but WOW what an amazing year for the blues!🫐Last count was 2363. If Eric picks 8 pints today we will have beat our previous record by 100 pints!!! We are so grateful for all the U-pickers out there! We are sold out of meat chickens but still have some availability on turkeys fresh for Thanksgiving 🦃🦃

The turkey flock is growing fast. They are enjoying all the extra goodies we give them: overripe blueberries, apple drops and scraps, weeds from the garden, etc.
We only have 12 left out of 27 to offer fresh for Thanksgiving. At only $4.50/lb it’s a great deal! Most other farms charge $5.50-$7/lb and if you saw the feed bill you wouldn’t wonder why. Don’t wait till last minute to get on the list. We only require a $20 deposit to reserve one for you!!!

Got another batch of nasturtium pepper jelly done yesterday(good and spicy!) and another batch of pansy jelly (since I know a special little redhead that absolutely loves it!)Working with apples today, the possibilities are endless: applesauce, apple butter, blueberry apple butter, blueberry apple jam, apple jelly, apple onion chutney, etc, etc. Will be making fresh pressed apple c***r soon too!!!🍎🍏🍎
All these and so much more will be available in the She Shed Shop as they are ready😁
