*Sound On* for the joy we are feeling as we break ground on a new storage, wash, and pack building. I’ve known we’d build this since the moment we started building our previous, DIY wash/pack/cooler building back in 2018. To be real, there were many a day between then and now where it didn’t feel possible. But today felt surreal, a huge step forward - after so much work the last 3 years to make this new building a reality. We’re ready for an upgrade -ready to level up from packing 100s of online orders in a shipping container, cramming up to 10 people in the small wash/pack room whilst 400+ CSAs and over 100,000 lbs of storage stream in and out of the coolers, ready to not have to freeze our buns off when shuttling food and supplies between buildings, ready to not cram over 40 macro bins of winter squash into tight shipping container quarters. And bonus, per Max’s persistence, this building is heated with a geothermal system 💋⚡️We are so ready 🪩✨

Today Winter Kissed embarked on a new ground source heat pump project that will power our warehouse expansion. We can’t wait to show everyone at the big Farm Party next month (save the date: Sunday, July 19th!). This geothermal project will allow us to pay up front for a renewable form of heat to keep our toes and our squash toasty all Winter long! Happy crew, happy life! 🥋🤩💦🔥♨️💃🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

Due to high demand last season, we’re rolling out CSA signups a little different this year.

⏰ May 29th at 8am through June 12th at 8am 🗓️
Sign up will be limited to returning members and folks on the waitlist
On June 12th at 8am we’ll open signups to the general public

If you were a CSA member (or on the waitlist!) this last season, you get first dibs to sign up for the upcoming season!

How time flies, about to enter Week 26 of the 9th season of Winter CSAs 🐝🥕🫜
With a sprinkle of snow last week we made this chili that felt like a warm hug, bursting with flavor. Then realized that it used several CSA items that can be a bit more challenging to incorporate in the kitchen. So here it is, a chili chock full of veggies, and meat too if you’re into that. Which had us saying “omg this is giving me life” as we licked our bowls.

We’ve been hard at it, spreading over 20 dump truckloads of City of Hamilton, Montana’s 🍂🍁🍂. It’s why our soil organic matter % is above 5!!! And, arguably, the veggie flavor is a 10/10!!! 🤤🥕🤤🥬🤤
