We are a black-run farmers market fighting to end food apartheid in the black community. Our market will run from 9am to 2pm every first Saturday of the month starting in June. Our market will have plenty of fruits, vegetables, homemade goods as well as health and beauty-care products, arts and crafts. We will also have workshops on gardening, cooking and youth activities. We will end our 2021 Market Season with an amazing Halloween Festival on October 31st for the kids in the community. We’re calling it “Friends, Family, and Freedom” --- bringing the whole family and community together! We will be a weekly farmers market starting in the Spring of 2022. BE A VOLUNTEER! Volunteer your time, talents and energy and be a part of this historic ongoing event taking place to build and uplift the black community for self-determination and self-reliance! Here is the ** VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION SCHEDULING ** link: https://calendly.com/bp2volunteers/n2u?month=2021-05
**AVAILABLE POSITIONS OPEN** Volunteer on the DAY OF the One Africa! Farmers Market - There are multiple roles and volunteer positions for the day of the market. We have set up and break down teams, logistics, assisting vendors, giving out information, helping with sales, kid/youth activities, assisting with workshops and many other opportunities. The market is a lot of fun and you get to see how a farmers market operates. This is an excellent opportunity to donate your time, effort and abilities to the African working class struggle to address health disparities, end food apartheid and build economic independence.
