As we end the 2025 growing season and we start fall tillage for our winter cover crop, I like to reflect what the past season gave us. This year was a difficult growing season for us and many other growers. Late cold spells, record rain fall, unbearable heat, bugs, and our friends the deer. Some crops flourished, some failed, some were late bloomers, and some did meh.
All of these factors may not help the plants grow but they help us grow as people. We learn from good and bad years. It helps polish our skills and what we can do to prep for the next. And thatโs what we will exactly do.
We will be back with hopefulness and determination at the start of 2026.
We appreciate every single one of you that continues to support our small farm. We look forward to seeing all of you next year with more fresh veggies in the stand!
