Having a blast taking a floral design class to work on my bouquet making skills! This week was a mixed arrangement and while pretty, the class agreed a couple more flowers would really improve things so what’s a girl to do but go out to the garden at night and cut a few more! I was fortunate enough to add some lisianthus, celosia, gomphera, and a single snapdragon to fill in the space and add some whimsy! Do you think it’s looks better or is less more? Hard call sometimes but I personally prefer fuller bouquets!

Ya’ll..I think we’re done… with fresh flowers for the season 😢. This cold snap did a number on the flowers and I would t feel right trying to put them out there for ya’ll. But don’t worry Willa’s Wildflowers isn’t going anywhere! During the off season we’ll still have lots to share including dried floral arrangements, much of which comes from our own garden, and our soaps and related products. We have at least two more markets this year planned and I’ll share details re those as they get closer. In the meantime, I’ll also work on putting online our inventory so you can peruse at your leisure. But the garden is still here and we’ll be clearing out the old and planning for the new as well! Fall planting has already started but more to come! Feel free to message us if you see anything you like or have questions!

Mark your calendars for the St. Joseph’s Arts & Craft show this Saturday, Oct 17 in Chatham (next to the library)! Willa’s Wildflowers will be there and we hope to see ya there too! Killers on the loose! Assassin bugs are great to have in the garden as they, as shown, take out nuisance insects, like this stink bug, but ya gotta watch out for them cause if ya get bit, it will hurt!!! Ya not gonna die but it’s not pleasant and henceforth this is why I have a gazillion pairs of garden gloves! Stay frosty!
