IT’S FRIDAY——PIE DAY!! Gah lee, these pies are good! We ordered some extra for this weekend so hopefully everyone gets what they are wishing for!

🐖 have you tried North Star Meats PORK?!?! If you have then you’ve probably already come back for more and if you haven’t you should try it now. The quality of meat and how much care was taken in raising this animal is 100% why we carry it but to top it all off the butcher is on point! The spices they use for the sausage are spot on. The way they cured the bacon and even though we sold out fast the HOT sausage is my favorite. When the farmer and I were talking about how I wanted our hog processed I said I want hot sausage in a tube not Pattie’s. He said he would just get me some. Y’all, it sold out fast and it had me cooking sausage for days at home. Breakfast casserole, sausage balls, sausage pinwheels, etc….
I was born and raised in Alabama and grew up eating the best venison & wild boar that my daddy hunted & processed at home. I miss those meals dearly but am reminded how crucial & important it is to have someone who knows what they’re doing process and season your meat. Not everybody can make great meat taste even better but these guys can!
We have 1 pound packages of mild breakfast sausage in the freezer along with bacon, ham steaks (slap yo mama good!) ribs, & tenderloin.
🐮 we’ve got the BEEF!! North Star Meats doing it big on the beef! Have you tried their cubed steak?!?! Again, I love my fried meats and if there is anything I can cook it is a country fried steak. That’s what I hooked Artie with…..yall we met on farmersonly.com 11 years ago and I flew out to Colorado to sink the hook. When I did I cooked him country fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and real corn bread. And when I say there hasn’t t been a better cubed steak fried since that night until i had these. First the meat is outstanding but if you have ever cooked a CFS and the meat falls apart while you’re breading it you’re liable to cuss. I have. So, you need the butcher to treat the meat with respect so that the cook can do their thing. This butcher knows the deal! It’s perfect every time!
