The months of January & February, I spend most of my time researching which seed varieties, bushes, bulbs, tubers, etc, I'm going to choose for the growing season.
This Spring, I want to add an apple tree, and I have really struggled the last couple of years deciding on the variety I want to establish.
Well, I FINALLY found it, at long last.

The Wolf River apple tree, originally found on the banks of the Wolf River in Wisconsin, growing as a seedling, sounds like the perfect apple tree candidate for my permaculture, landscape design. :)
It produces large fruit, weighing a pound, or more! It's also resistant to mildew, and quite a few pests, which is a huge plus. Perfect for baking, too, and I can't wait to order!!!

Enjoying a hot cup of coffee, flipping through seed catalogs, daydreaming of my next garden, & enjoying the new blanket of snow, from the storm last night. Life is good.
