Sparta Green Market Various vendors every 3rd Fri of the month from 4p-7p from May to October

The Sparta Green Market is a grass roots movement to enhance the current Farmer's Market by adding an additional evening market; initially on the 3rd Friday of each month, preceding the Bluegrass at the Amphitheater. The desire is to create a hip & vibrant ambiance in downtown where our neighbors can enjoy a market with not only fresh, local fruits & vegetables; but a market enhanced with other pr

oducts produced in our local communities, such as soaps, honey and wood-crafts. After visiting The Sparta Green Market a quick stroll down the square will lead folks to an evening of Bluegrass music at the Amphitheater.

It is with great sorrow that we share with you all the passing of Dave Margeson. Dave was a vendor of the Sparta Green Market from the very beginning. If you have been to the Green Market you have certainly met Dave. He was funny, kind, and caring. You may have bought some of his delicious blueberries, a White Co foraged natural curled walking stick, and certainly a bag of his famous black peanuts.

We extend our condolences to his family and he will certainly be missed in the coming 2026 Green Market season.

Today is the day–our last market of the 2025 season! Check out these awesome vendors!

✨A Wild Thyme Homestead✨
You will find various sourdough breads and sweet treats here, along with pumpkins and gourds to decorate for this fall season!

✨The River Garden✨
If you would like to try your hand at growing different plants, this is the booth for you! They have fruit trees and bushes as well as disease-resistant apple and pear trees. You will also find fresh produce and goat milk products. They have a little bit of everything!
