Accepting whole deer! We don’t know when we will fill up, keep checking back. We are open until 7pm, not any later.

If you harvest a deer in a CWD positive county, you MUST take it to a check station. If your deer doesn’t have an ORANGE TAG and is shot in one of the following counties, we will NOT be able to take it. Boone, Bureau, Carroll, DeKalb, Ford, Grundy, Jo Daviess, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, Lee, Livingston, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Will & Winnebago.

We WILL fill up and reach capacity for whole deer. We will be updating our voicemail, website and FB page in real time with availability on accepting whole deer! Make sure you are checking in before you drive out here.

It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Big John, John Schalz Sr. He ran John’s Elgin Market in downtown Elgin beginning 1967. While he was working, he enjoyed shooting the bull with his customers, setting up his booths at various sport shows around the area & giving his employees a hard time. He retired and moved to Arkansas in 2001 due to his love for fishing year round. Our family will greatly miss him.

WISCONSIN ARCHERY SEASON

STARTING SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH, WE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR WHOLE ANIMAL DROP OFF FROM 3-4PM (1 HOUR ONLY). WE WILL ALSO DO THE SAME FOR THE 21ST & 28TH. THIS IS THE ONLY HOUR WE ARE AVAILABLE, BESIDES OUR NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS, TO DROP OFF WHOLE DEER. DON'T ASK.

IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE VERY WARM THIS WEEKEND, ICE YOUR DEER!!
