-We offer 3 sizes, small, medium, large. We have free local pickup locations in South Lake Tahoe, Camino, Placerville, Coloma, Diamond Springs, Somerset, and Shingle Springs. We also offer home delivery to El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, and all over the Placerville area.

Took a week to visit Southern Utah and Nevada while the farm dried out. Spent a couple days at Zion and a couple days at Bryce and a few days where my sister lives in Utah. Absolutely beautiful. Corrie and I felt like the reddish warm hues of stone were uplifting and energizing 🤗
Traveling with our kids is infinitely amusing and almost never quiet!

This field is ripped and ready for Spring planting. The boys put 40 yards of compost on it the other day and we'll put another 30 or 40, as well as other mineral and nutrition amendments before forming beds. Alder, age 13, did half the loads by himself while I was putting a roof on this shed.

I've been burning off as much debris from the caldor fire as possible, to reduce ground squirrel habitat. The squirrels trippled in population after the wildfire in 2021 and they caused at least 10k in loss last year, so trying to do my part to reduce their pressure. One of my wood customers will also be coming with an air rifle for target practice🎯

I'm excited to finally have a transplanter! I've worked for a few years to organize my field prep approach to accommodate a mechanical transplanter, which makes it a lot easier to tackle the chore of getting baby plants in the ground. This implement is designed to function on much larger farms but I wanted the chance to experience something different than what I've done for the last 18 years where all transplants at Mama Earth Farm were tucked into the dirt by hand essentially.

This is the most expensive single implement ive bought for the farm, and interestingly, unlike a mower or a tiller, it can only be used for one application! Several soil and layout details have to be on lock just to be able to use it. But it's night and day in terms of efficiency.

I had to do some welding before using it cause I didn't like the way the shop set up the 3 point but to their credit I made a not that typical request to be able to put the implement on a smaller than usual tractor.

Corrie and I made a little trip of picking up the implement and visited the ocean and explored some major farming areas. Whatd we find cor. Ah we found the worlds best almond croissant, we found fields of hard working people, a beautiful beach, a glacious seagull, dripping christmas lights, a bird looking for love, and quite a few round abouts. We also picked up new strawberry plants while down there

Our main goal is to have lettuce available as much as possible, but the transplanter will help with many of the crops we grow. On Sunday we put in a few thousand lettuce, broccoli, and cabbage starts, and it was crazy fast! 🌱
