Our farm has been in our family for 5 generations, my Great Grandmother Lena Foley owned it and sold it to my Mamaw and Papaw who were dairy farmers. Once they retired from dairy farming they still continued to work cattle, crops, to***co, etc. We were always with Mamaw and Papaw working or playing on the farm. We helped with the garden, I got to lock the dairy heads into the milking stalls, we helped with hay, to***co, everything that needed done. We all loved it and them so much. Fred, the youngest of the grandchildren was Papaws right hand man and partner in crime. He took to farming and trading like it was nothing, he works hard and everyday. We all help in different ways with the farm still. When Mamaw and Papaw passed away Fred took over the farm and switched it to beef cattle and he still crops as well. We have apx 100 acres total of the original farm left there, he leases several 100 more acres thru out Bullitt County and 1200 acres in Eastview, KY. He rotates apx 480-500 head of cattle, a few horses, lots of equipment and of course Waylon the farm dog.
