I know y'all have been wondering where I've been 😉 this week. Well let me explain. Last Monday one of our goats decided to go into labor while I was headed out the door for work. Unfortunately the baby she was trying to deliver was out of position and way to big. Despite our efforts we lost mom and one baby. The twin baby that survived us now a bottle 🍼 baby but let me just say bottle 🍼 babies are for the birds 🐦 lol. Running on lack of sleep 💤 and now having a screaming 🐐 kid behind 24/7 isn't for the faint of heart 💜. But we wouldn't trade sweet miss Cocoa Chanel for anything!

I used ChatGPT to make this. I was trying to give a bit of insight on the percentage when doing an outcrossing and then breeding back. It did cut off the F1 part though. Now with genetic testing, we know the percentage could actually be a little higher or lower than these common math percentages below.

Doberman x other breed = F1 50% dobie

F1 to doberman = F2 75%

F2 to doberman = F3 82.75%

F3 to doberman = F4 93.75%

F4 to doberman=F5 96.875%+ Doberman

F5 to doberman = F6 98.4375%

This is a basic math problem and pretty easy to understand. However, genetic testing gives us a more accurate percentage. 🤗
