📢 Attention Seguin Homesteaders! 📢

We regret to inform you that we have to cancel our upcoming group classes due to unforeseen circumstances. Recently, the city contacted us and informed us that we need permits and licenses to host these classes, which, as a free community group, we simply do not have the resources to obtain.

To everyone who has already signed up, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause. Your support means everything to us, and we're truly sorry for this unexpected turn of events.

Rest assured, the teachers will be reaching out to you via email to provide refunds for the fees you've paid. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We'll work diligently to explore alternative options and hope to bring you more exciting classes in the future.

We are hosting a KOMBUCHA CLASS! Click the link to sign up! Spots are limited! Cost is $10 if you bring your own GALLON sized GLASS jar to take your scoby home in and $25 to have the teacher provide a jar for you. May 11th at 10am class will be held near downtown Seguin! We just had our first Seguin Homestead and Farmers Market class on canning. I keep forgetting to take pictures! Y'all, I'll do better next time!🫣 It was wonderful and we had a great time! Huge shout out to our teacher Leslie Marshall for being our first volunteer guinea pig in this adventure! She was an amazing teacher and hostess and we learned so much! We got to take home a can of beef and a can of delicious salsa to have our own street taco night! Yay!
Thanks to all who participated and joined the fun! I can't wait to do another one! I will have more information on some more classes coming up! We are working on a sourdough class, a top 20 herbs and how to use them class, another canning class, kombucha class, and a possible fermentation class! If you have a craft or a skill that you're good at on the homestead we are looking for volunteers! There are so many out here who want to learn what you know! If you have a heart to share your knowledge I would love to chat with you please send me a private message! Thank you to all who participate in our group and hope we can have many more fun adventures to come!

Only 6 seats per class! (will be held at a private residence here in Seguin by our wonderful teacher, Leslie Marshall)

Did you know that wood sorrel grows all over. You probably have tons in your yard right now. I have some popping up in my potted plants around my yard. A lot of you have been interested in foraging. I might challenge you to go out and look for some and have a taste. It has a bright and lemony citrus taste that is good in salads or you can brew it in your tea.
