We had such a blast at our one year anniversary party, Pidgin Fest! Thanks so much to Ira Torrey for capturing the evening from some many points of view.

So grateful for all the bands that graced us with their tunes and for Au Beur for sharing his cuisine with the masses.

With contributions of raffle prizes from so many of our friend’s restaurants and bars we raised over $300 plus a handful of recurring donations for the Beacon Food Forest

Very heartwarming to see the entirety of our space being enjoyed from the bottle shop to the patio and everywhere in between.

We’ll continue working to keep fun stuff like this coming in the years to come, but don’t forget to go support your favorite restaurants even when they aren’t holding special events. It’s hard out there for small businesses right now.

We love you all and hope to see you soon. 💕💕💕

Finally coming up for air after our epic first birthday party!

Thank you all who came out, supported all these AMAZING artists, SOLD OUT our dearest Au Beur by 7pm(!!!), survived our *possessed* order buzzers 💀, bought raffle tickets for the vital Beacon Food Forest (!!!), jumped in to party prep or wash 1,000 dishes, and just hung out with us and all the amazing people we get to call our friends 💗💗💗

Extra shout outs to Zachary Pacleb for doing triple duty and making sure everyone got fed before and after his own set, and Dave for keeping the music alive 😎

Feeling real lucky to kick off year two with so much love and energy in our pockets. Cheers to all the Pidgins in our flock 🩶💛 let’s do this.

All 📸 by audio assistant extraordinaire Dylan Olson 😘

Hey all, thanks to everyone who came through tonight. It felt good to be busy. We appreciate everyone’s patience!

Tomorrow Saturday, September 19th we will be closed for lunch as we prepare to celebrate the nuptials of one of our dear friends from to co-op community.

Don’t fret we’ll be open starting at 3pm for happy hour and dinner, so we’ll see you then!

Also enjoy this clip from our latest batch of atchara. Cascading heaps of green papaya, green pepper, daikon radish, carrots, and onions getting ready for a bath in a nice bright brine of cane vinegar. Find it on our burger and loco moco.

Once more, we will be closed for lunch tomorrow but will be back open starting at 3pm 😘

Couple specials today and maybe into next week!

By Au Beur we got blistered okra tossed w an eggplant relish and herbs on top of a piperade spiked w our fermented black bean chili oil. Expect a burst of spices but not too spicy. And a bit of smokiness from the grilled okra. Okra is one of our favorites and we really should be playing with it more. Scared of the mucilage contained within the pentagonal (decagonal?) delight of a vegetable(fruit?)? Well get over it. It’s not that slimy and any slime is good for your insides.

And, by Seth Pacleb and Zachary Pacleb an heirloom tomato sandwich with pork chashu dressed in our spicy vinegar on a potato bun w annatto aioli and a mess of greens and herbs on too.

The menu board says chashu sammie cuz a lot of you are more likely to buy it when the pork is the star, but much like a BLT a juicy umami laden tomato is what really makes the sandwich. The pork is delicious but is really there as seasoning for the tomato. Disagree? Fight me. Try a BLT w grocery store slicers and lemme know if it was even worth your time.

I digress. Come get these specials while you can. Okay, I love you. Buh bye 👋 😘

Our path to the cooperative has been long and full of great insights from growers within the AANHPI community. A month hardly seems like enough time to pay gratitude to this part of our co-ops heritage, so we are eternally grateful for their education in all things Ag! 🥭🥬🌶️🍠🍆

From .k.farms delicious tropical fruit production in Hilo, HI to , and here in WA, we love to learn from those who know best. Our food would not be the same without your food(and hard work). Even the brothers' Nana Isabel growing the superfood malunggay in her backyard.🫰🏽🫰🏽🫰🏽

Happy Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! And forever! 🧑🏼‍🌾
