Let’s make Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki at home🤤💭

You can find our Okonomiyaki Kit and Yakisoba Kit at Daiso, making it easy to bring authentic Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki to your kitchen!

✨ Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki (1 serving)✨

Ingredients:
- 1 oz (28 g) Okonomiyaki flour
- 1.5 oz (43 g) water
- 1 pack Yakisoba noodles
- 10 oz (283 g) cabbage
- 0.2 oz (6 g) green onion
- 1 oz (30 g) bean sprouts
- Tenkasu (tempura crisps), as needed
- 3 slices pork belly or bacon
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 packet Okonomi Sauce
- 1 packet Yakisoba Sauce
- Dried seaweed and bonito flakes (for topping)

How to Make:
1. Cut cabbage and green onion.
2. Mix Okonomiyaki flour and water.
3. Pour the batter onto a heated griddle and spread it into a large, thin circle using the back of a ladle (save 1 Tbsp of batter for later).
4. Layer the ingredients: sprinkle ground bonito flakes, then add cabbage. Top with tenkasu, green onion, and bean sprouts. Finish with three thin slices of pork belly.
5. Drizzle the reserved batter on top to “glue” the layers. Quickly flip using two spatulas and shape as needed. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the cabbage is perfectly steamed.
6. While the cabbage is steaming, stir-fry the yakisoba noodles. Add Yakisoba sauce and toss to coat. Shape into a flat, round layer similar in size to the crepe.
7. Place the pancake on top of the noodles.
8. Crack an egg onto a lightly oiled griddle and spread it to the same size. Place the pancake on top before the egg fully cooks. Once set, flip one final time.
9. Finish with Okonomi Sauce, then sprinkle dried seaweed and sesame seeds on top.
