The market has been in existence for over 30 years and includes 6 local locations. Our Association of 130 grower members, owned and operated by the members and its board of directors, is committed to helping promote local family farmers, and protecting the environment by sustaining and restoring surrounding greenbelt areas. The SBCFMA continues working diligently to bring the freshest and most nut

ritious produce our rich local agricultural land has to offer for you and your families. The markets serve to strengthen the local communities ties and will help to provide weekly events at no cost while enhancing our community's quality of life. Each week the farmers in the marketplace display a colorful bounty of agricultural products grown right in our backyard. Seasonal diversity is available year round rain or shine.

🍅🌈 Are those Organic Heirloom Tomatoes!?🌈🍅 The Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market is here with Tutti Frutti Farms on this beautiful Saturday morning and the "Purple Cherokee" Heirloom Tomato is in attendance! The groundhog of Organic produce, Summer is on its way.

🥔 Fresh Organic Potatoes at Roots Organic Farm! The Purple potatoes and "Fingerling" potatoes are standouts but you can't go wrong with a creamy "Yukon" or Red potato.

Sweet cherry tomatoes at Munak Family Farms and spotted at Chavez Family Farms. It's the beginning of the season for most tomatoes, get them before they're gone. 🐝☺️

The Farm Moms, the buying great produce for their family Moms, the supporting local Agriculture Moms, the Chef Moms that make our restaurants so delectable, the Florist Moms, the Great Baker Moms, the list goes on and on! Seasonal Recipe Alert: Green garlic is one of those seasonal ingredients that exist for a fleeting moment and only in springtime.

It is a luxury item–harvested early when it could grow longer and become a whole head of garlic. When it's this young, the flavor is more subtle, and must be consumed quickly.

To stretch it out a little further, you can confit it in butter. This transforms it into a soft, spoonable condiment to put on eggs, toast, cooked vegetables or, as the fine folks at Domingo's Farm at the farmers market say, they put it on everything!

Domingo's has been our go-to at the Saturday morning market and although its seasonality wraps up in May, they often sell out early in the market. Grab a bunch before they disappear until next year.

Mulberries at Two Peas In A Pod Farm! The berries at Two Peas and A Pod are top notch and these Mulberries are no exception. 🍇

Check out the beast mode Artichokes at Mendoza Family Farm, find them with their thick and thin stock Asparagus. 💚

Organic "Haricot Vert" French Beans 's Berries. This bean The epitome of the "String" bean. 🫛

Need some plant starts for the garden? Boris the "Pepper King" has Sunflowers, Tomatoes, Cucumbers and established "Concord" Grapes starts. 🌱

Organic "Watermelon" Radish at Earthtrine Farm. These beautiful radish make any salad, taco or pickled veg the standout!🌈
