Our next market day is June 27th from 9 AM–2 PM at 3024 Upper Mountain Road!

We’ve added some new vendors once again, and we’re so excited to welcome both familiar faces and first-time visitors to the market.

A quick note: I (Corrine) will not be at this market at all. I’ll be away, but don’t worry Rachel and Kevin will be holding down the fort and keeping everything running smoothly. As always, you’re in great hands!

I was scrolling through vendor pages looking for a few missing pieces to our puzzle at Sanborn Marketside, and wow… the amount of businesses relying on AI is honestly wild.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used it too. It’s great for helping rewrite something, organizing thoughts, or getting past writer’s block. But lately it feels like every flyer, every post, and every graphic looks exactly the same. After a while, it all starts to blend together.

Maybe it’s just me, but there’s something about a post, flyer, or photo that someone created themselves that has a completely different feel. It may not be perfect, but it’s real. You can see the personality behind it, the passion behind it, and the person behind the business.

As a small business owner and market organizer, I’d much rather see your actual products, your setup, your face, your story, and the hard work that goes on behind the scenes than another generic AI-generated image.

In a world where everything is starting to look the same, being authentic stands out more than ever.

On that note, here’s a flyer I made for my husband’s cabinet company. No AI-generated cabinets, no AI-generated showroom just a local family-owned business that takes pride in its work. If you’re in the market for new cabinets or have a project you’d like to bring to life, give him a shout and support small business!

Some days I’m exhausted. Some days I question if all the planning, stress, and behind-the-scenes work is worth it. Then I get a message like this.

People see the event. They don’t always see the weeks and months of planning that go into it.

Bringing our community together has become something I truly love. Watching families make memories, seeing small businesses succeed, and creating things for people to enjoy fills my cup.

Life is short. Love your people. Support your community. Tell people you appreciate them. None of us are promised tomorrow.
