While we have enjoyed getting to know the Broad Street Giant Grinder neighborhood, customers, and fellow business owners, the time has come for us to close the beloved shop. It has been the most difficult decision to come to, but we know there are amazing things to come.

Our customers are some of the best in the county, some even coming from all over the county and state for the unique East Coast style grinders that our founder, Brad Fuller, brought out from Connecticut. Having opened the first Giant Grinder in 1970 in Manhattan Beach and retiring after 50 years in February of 2020, it has been an honor to guide the shop through the last three and a half years.

We have struggled with this decision, but know it is the best for our family at this time. Battling a pandemic, labor shortages, supply chain issues, and skyrocketing food costs has taken its toll. Marty and Libby are taking a moment to rebuild their mental reserves so they can continue to find ways to engage in this wonderful community for years to come.

We will be open just Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm through Friday, July 28th. We will then be clearing out the shop in preparation for new tenants that will be an amazing addition to the neighborhood - but we’ll let them make their own official announcement with details!

It has been a pleasure. We will still be around SLO and watching our twins thrive in their final years at San Luis High.

We cater!! There’s lots of gatherings ahead: graduations, wedding showers, rehearsal dinners, work parties, sports teams, wine tasting, beach picnics, or whatever brings you together - we're ready to provide you with lots of good food! We can do sandwich trays, individually wrapped sandwiches, deep dish pizzas, chocolate chip cookie trays, and more! Let us know what you're looking for, and we'll work to make sure it happens!
