Hafod Organic English Farmhouse Cheddar from Patrick Holden has arrived at the Plus! Patrick's been committed to organic farming since a fateful trip to the Bay area as a young man in the 70's, inspiring him to take up milking cows and ultimately to become one of the most prominent leaders of the organic farm movement in the UK (yeah, he's kind of a big deal). Patrick came for a visit a few days ago while attending a conference nearby. The team had a great afternoon learning about his farm, his cheese, and his commitment to do everything to assure his farm is naturally healthy and sustainable, which we are certain makes his cheese taste like the farm from which it came. This cheese is sooooo goooood y'all-- meaty, grassy, hints of mustard and fried onions all meting wonderfully on your palate with a lingering bright earthiness that keeps you reaching for bite after bite.

We also received a delicious bright golden wheel of Sparkenhoe Red Leicester along with a wonderful wheels of Colston Basset Stilton and Shropshire this week. Be sure to stop in soon to taste all our traditional and authentic English cheeses!
