Thanks all for the great turnout on Saturday...30 plus cars at opening and the norm was 10 cars in the lot at a time!!! Special thanks goes to Richard Reeves for bringing in his 1.70 pound yellow tomato to weigh. Richard Edwards still hold the record at 2.24 pounds. While it's been very hot, vendors still have lots of quality produce, meat and baked goods. Be sure to stop by Tuesday evening 4:30-7:00 pm

Even with spring weather delays 6 vendors had 19 different types of 'veggies' along with baked goods, jelly and USDA inspected meat. Thanks to all of our customers. Sorry to those of you who missed out on the 'best veggies' but supplies will increase. See you tonight (Tues) or on Sat morning!

Congrats to Amanda Wright for having the 1st record setting tomato of the season at 0.84 pounds.

WCFM vendors will start setting up each Tuesday evening from 4:30-7:00 PM starting July 5.

WCFM is starting a "Heaviest Tomato Contest". The current record was set in 1986 at 7lbs 12 oz. Growers in Washington and surrounding counties can surely do just as well. If you have a heavy tomato, bring it by the market to be weighed. Every time a grower beats the local record, they recieve a gift certificate to the market. At the end of the year the heaviest record will be paid $10.00/lb for their tomato.
