The St Michaels Market promotes sustainable agriculture, brings fresh local food to the center of town on a weekly basis and improves food access and equity for our Bay Hundred community. Michaels, by creating vital economic opportunities for local farmers and food producers, and through innovative outreach programs that educate the public about food and related environmental issues. Local farmers and food producers are at the core of our mission, and helping them to thrive is a pillar of our work. Across our 18-year history, we’ve supported farmers from Talbot, Dorchester, Caroline, and Kent Counties, as well as small farmers from nearby counties in Delaware and Maryland counties west of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Founded in 1998 as part of FRESHFARM Markets, and becoming an independent community organization in 2017, the St. Michaels Farmers Market is a leader in the local food movement.

Summer isn’t the only season worth showing up for. 🍁

Our local farmers, bakers, growers, and makers are still bringing the good stuff to the market. It is a 🌞SPECTACULAR🌞day!!

The apples are here. The squash is squashing. The pumpkins are pumping. The bread is fresh, the cheese is cheesy, and the fall flowers, the last of them before frost has its way, are putting on a whole dang show. 🌻💐🍎

Summer may be over, but the goodness hasn’t gone anywhere.

Need fresh produce? We’ve got you. Something delicious for the weekend? Yep. A beautiful bouquet to brighten your kitchen table, your porch, your friend’s day, or your entire personality? ABSOLUTELY. 💐

A little history, a little music, and lots of home town goodness!

🚒 St Michaels Fire Department Maggie is coming to the market!
Meet St. Michaels’ historic 1926 fire engine (REO Speedwagon), learn about our volunteer Fire Department, and snap a photo with this local legend. The crew will also be recruiting volunteer firefighters!

🎶 Coffee for Two Coffee For Two will be playing live music, featuring a familiar face to many of you — Landon, formerly of Craft Bakery & Night Kitchen Coffee, back in town with his partner for a morning of music.

🍂Plus, wander on down to St. Michaels Community Center for pumpkin painting, face painting, and the annual pumpkin baking contest, then enjoy pumpkin carving, Halloween storytelling, and more with Fall Into St. Michaels!

Saturday morning is going to be fabulous!

We’ll be open 8:30–11:30 AM through November 21

Oh, look. It’s raining on market day again .

Sure we’d prefer our market weather with a little less precipitation, but we can’t really complain. Most of Maryland is still classified as being in an abnormally dry or drought state.
WE NEED THIS RAIN.
Our farmers need the rain.
And the crops are drinking it up!!

So, fine. RAIN. HAVE YOUR MOMENT. 🌱

We’ll be dancing our happy dance at market 8:30–11:30 with all the good stuff. 💃🕺
