Just a quick update. We’ve been able to get 6 plantings of corn in. The first few are up but the colder than normal temps (especially at night) has slowed the growth down. We just planted our first land of white sweet corn! The plan is to have 2 or 3 more plantings of it. The ground is just about ready to plant tomatoes. The early ones should be in the ground within a week! Believe it or not, we are also thinking of pumpkins already. We started working that ground up. It won’t be long before we have fresh produce for you. Keep watching for updates!

We were able to disc the main corn field today for the first time! We would have liked another day for it to dry out but there is a chance of rain the rest of the week. We’ll go over it a couple more times to work in the fertilizer then it will be ready to plant. If the weather cooperates we would like to plant some sweet corn in early April! Fingers crossed 🤞.

Well, for the most part, we came through the wind storm in good shape. Unfortunately the greenhouse didn’t. The outside layer of poly ripped all the way across. We are working to find someone to get it fixed before another storm hits it. Fingers crossed!

This is indeed good news for our friends in Utica and St.Louisville. If this came to fruition it could have had a huge impact on homes, businesses and farms in northern Licking County.

Back in October, the leader of Del-Co Water Company told a roomful of Utica-area residents that the utility was looking for a new water source in northern Licking County and […]

We hope everyone had a Happy New Year and made it through the snow storm yesterday. We are working on digging out like everyone else. Here at the farm, we got just under 11 inches (using the official ruler😁). If it makes you feel better, we should be working up the fields in a couple months and planting not long after. Stay safe and warmer weather is on the way, just not this week!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Eric and his family. For those that may not know them, they have the market that used to be Tim Davinos (by Plaza Pizza). We had a good relationship with Tim and have gotten to know Eric when they opened. He is a wonderful person and works hard making their market a success. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
