Cole has wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps since joining him at Publix for “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.” When Cole recently graduated from preschool, he shared that his dream career was to be a Publix store manager. 💚

“He wants to be like his dad,” Cole’s mom, Amanda, said. “From stocking shelves to interacting with customers, Cole loves to watch his dad at work.”

Cole’s love for Publix doesn’t stop there. “The cookies are definitely a bonus,” Amanda joked.

After hearing of his aspirations and love of our desserts, we sent Cole the essentials to sport his love for Publix, including his favorite bakery cookies! 🍪

We hope to see Cole continue the family tradition and manage a Publix store in the future!

Produce Clerk Jake P. used his creativity to show his Publix love. To celebrate the one-year anniversary of his store in Neptune Beach, Florida, Jake displayed his latest construction: a Publix replica built entirely out of interlocking bricks.

Jake has worked at Publix for almost 10 years. He loves talking to customers and knew how much they’d enjoy seeing this when they shopped. “I really love to build things,” Jake said. “I wanted to challenge myself with a big build.” This labor of love took Jake 10 months to complete!

“It’s amazing to see the results of his imagination,” said his management team.

Thanks for going above and beyond for the anniversary, Jake! Your build is an incredible work of art. 💚

Meet Jorge E., an associate in our Lakeland, Florida, Bakery Plant. At work, he is a relief operator, but his most important title is Dad. His success at Publix inspired his three sons—Joshua, Justin, and Jeremy—to apply for positions at their local store.

“I’ve met many people who began their careers at Publix,” said Jorge. “The opportunities are endless, and I knew it would be the best place for my children to showcase their abilities and work ethic.”

Following in their dad’s footsteps is an honor. “Dad always told us that we should strive to do great things in life,” Jeremy said. “Working at Publix is only the beginning of becoming as great of a man as he is.”

“Dad’s work ethic is admirable, and I’m proud to have the same opportunities as him,” said Justin.

This Father’s Day, Joshua, Justin, and Jeremy wanted to extend a special shoutout to their dad: “We love you and are so proud of your accomplishments!”

Happy Father’s Day to Jorge and all the dads out there who inspire their children every day! 💚
