Last week I shared about my “temptation to worry” about the flowers this time of the season…

Will I have enough to fulfill my commitments?

Will they rebound from the slug damage?

Why don’t they grow and bloom faster?

You get the idea….these are the thoughts that can threaten to keep me awake…😱

but prayer > than worry….

God cares about all the things that threaten to worry us…
He provides wisdom and guides our steps when we ask!

For example, this week He guided my steps to a solution to help with some of my crop failure.

I headed to Wildwood Flora, a greenhouse in Cincy, and filled up my Subaru with plugs and brought them home to the garden to fill in some of my flower gaps.

Thanking God for the peace I feel looking at that row of freshly planted zinnias! 🙌🏻

I’d love to hear how He has guided your steps away from worry and into a peace-filled solution this week….

My Temptation to Worry: Garden Edition ⛈️🥶😱

As the saying goes…if it’s not one thing it’s another…

This spring has been tough for the warm season flowers!

It was unseasonably cold…🥶which delayed planting…

and it has rained… A LOT…⛈️which delayed planting…

and rain is good for the garden except it brings out the slugs….😱…and slugs love to eat newly planted baby flowers.

Anyways…you get the idea…it’s always something…even in flower farming.

So the temptation to worry about flowers begins… will I have all I need when I need them???

But these things I know…worry accomplishes nothing and the garden always provides more than enough.

So instead I’ll pray and ask God to help the flowers grow and to give me the wisdom to make the right choices to help them.

This is my garden temptation… but I thought it might help remind you in whatever is tempting you to worry…

Let’s pray and ask for wisdom….and experience God’s peace!
