❤️ A Question for the Folks of Rock Cave ❤️
Let's settle something once and for all.
What was the absolute BEST thing about growing up in a small town?
Not the thing you think you're supposed to say.
The real thing.
Was it riding bikes until the streetlights came on?
Swimming holes?
Little League games?
The smell of fresh-cut hay?
Church picnics?
The one teacher who changed your life?
Knowing every back road in the county?
Or was it something simpler?
Maybe it was knowing that if your car broke down, somebody would stop.
Maybe it was knowing your grandparents weren't strangers to your neighbors.
Maybe it was the fact that people knew your name before they knew your business.
Around here, we spend a lot of time talking about what small towns have lost.
But maybe we don't spend enough time talking about what they've kept.
Kindness.
Community.
Looking out for each other.
The ability to strike up a conversation with somebody you've never met and somehow discover you're related three different ways.
That's still alive here.
Every single day.
So today we're curious:
👇 Tell us where you grew up and one thing you miss about it.
Let's see how many towns, hollers, crossroads, and communities show up in the comments.
Bonus points if the place is so small that GPS still gets confused trying to find it.
And if you're proud of your hometown, share this post and invite your friends to join the conversation.
Because preserving small-town stories starts with telling them.
