Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe

One thing we are incredibly proud of at The Spud Truck is our commitment to supporting local. We source what we can from local businesses and are always looking to expand our network & collaborate with other members of our community. Behind The Spud Truck is a whole lot of hard working local folks who help keep our wheels turning. We wanted to take a minute to give some well deserved shoutouts to some of those people.

Total Restaurant Supply has been an absolute god send to us. They have helped us navigate the unfamiliar world of commercial restaurant equipment since the beginning & have made sure we have everything we need to run smoothly. They’ve even gone as far as to quickly deliver takeout boxes to us across town when we were in a pinch. Their staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and truly just a call away when we need something. That type of service is invaluable to a small business like ours.

Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe are the people behind our loved smoked pulled pork. Thanks to them we are able to provide fresh & delicious protein options for our spuds. They have been incredibly accommodating to us, even preparing more meat on super short notice when you guys sell us out faster than we can keep up!

To our fellow Rochester business owners who have offered us advice, answered our questions & given us encouragement, THANK YOU. Starting a business is scary & having people willing to share their wisdom with us is truly special.

To the local businesses who have been so generous as to host The Spud Truck- realdealsrochester, kinneycreekbrewery, LTS Brewing Company, & more- thank you for sharing your space, welcoming us and our customers, & giving us the opportunity to serve in different corners of our community.

When you support The Spud Truck, you are also supporting other local businesses. We want to expand on this as much as possible & continue to make new connections & partner up with other members of our community. We believe there is room for all of us to succeed & would much rather grow alongside other local businesses than do it alone.

We love Rochester & will continue to serve our community & pour love into this town one spud at a time!

Every case has a few items people make a special trip for. Ours do too, and we've been hearing about them from Rochester regulars for over 50 years.

We pick and prepare our specialty selections with care, so when you ask us for something from the case, you're getting the same quality we'd put on our own table. Fresh, locally sourced, and made with the kind of attention you only get from a neighborhood shop.

Now we want to hear from you. What's the one specialty item you can't leave the shop without? Is it a smokehouse favorite, a fresh-cut special, or something you discovered on a whim that became a regular order? Tell us what it is and why you keep coming back. We'll be reading every reply, and we might just pick up a few new favorites ourselves.

Drop your pick in the comments and tag a fellow meat lover who needs to try it.
