Due to several conflicts that have come up, we have decided this Saturday, October 10 will be the last outdoor Rochester Farmers Markets we will be set up at until the indoor market starts in November. You can find us this weekend with lots of naturally dyed yarn jam, jelly, grape juice, and raw honey… and some of our fresh blackberries as well! Hope to see you at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds from 7:30 am until 12 noon. And for those who can’t make it out tomorrow, our plan is to set up at as many indoor markets during November and December as space allows!

We may be all sold out of grapes, but we will still be set up at the Rochester Farmers Markets at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds tomorrow morning from 7:30 am until 12 noon with grape juice, jam and jelly in lots of flavors, naturally dyed yarn, raw honey and even a few fresh blackberries. After spending a significant amount of time in the vineyard yesterday and today, we have decided that the concord grape season is just about over. The quantity of grapes out in the field has declined rapidly. If you are interested in picking a few more before the season ends, we will be open two more days -- Wednesday, Sept. 30 and Friday, October 2nd from 10 am to 6 pm both days.

Although there are still grapes out there, it will be a bit harder to find them, so because of this we have decided to reduce the pricing a bit for these last two days. You pick grapes will now be $1.50 per pound, regardless of how many you pick.

We also still have a very limited number of prepicked grapes available for purchase. If you are interested in those, give us a call at 507-252-1309 and we will fill orders as long as we can. Thanks for a great season!

Quick grape update -- Our season is quickly coming to an end... Right now we are planning on being open for sure this coming Wednesday, September 30 from 10 am - 6 pm. We are forecast to get rain that day again, but we are hoping it doesn't rain the entire day. Regardless, we will be open rain or shine. We are hoping to also be open Friday and Saturday, but I need to walk the vineyard and assess where we are at later today before we can make that call.

That being said, I have taken down the online ordering for the moment. If you are interested in some already picked grapes this week, please give us a call at 507-252-1309 and we will fill as many orders as we are able. The combination of lots of rain and several customers who picked a large volume over the weekend is where our uncertainty of when the season will end comes from. We will update here and on our website and voicemail as soon as we have more details.

We are looking forward to another great weekend for concord grape picking. Our crop this year is plentiful and ready to pick. We will be open Friday and Saturday (Sept. 25 and 26) from 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday, Sept. 27 from 12 noon to 4 pm. We also plan to be open Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 10 am - 6 pm. At this point it does look like we will be open the first weekend of October as well, but as always, it depends on the weather and how many customers come out to clear the vines.

If you are looking for already picked grapes, you can order those online on our website or give us a call at 507-252-1309. Pick up is available any of the days we are open. Unfortunately though we do NOT ship fresh produce! If you are a Rochester Farmers Markets regular, we will be set up at the market Saturday morning (Sept 26) as well with lots of fresh grapes, grape juice, jam, jelly, raw honey, and naturally dyed yarn and knitting patterns by Tonya. Just a heads up-- we are open rain or shine, unless there is severe weather. Also, we picked lots of grapes yesterday afternoon ahead of the rains in case customers just want to stop by and purchase some already picked. Price for those pre picked grapes is $2.25 per pound plus a small box fee -- or bring your own container to save on cost and waste! Grapes are looking great! We will be back at the Rochester Farmers Markets on Saturday morning with lots of grapes, jelly, juice, honey, and naturally dyed yarn. May also have some raspberries and blackberries, depending on the rains tomorrow.

Concord Grape Season starts Wednesday, September 16 at 10 am. We will be open Wednesday from 10 am - 6 pm for you pick and already picked grapes. Originally we did not plan on offering already picked grapes until the weekend, but the vineyard has filled out nicely and the online ordering (link below) is now open for grapes that will be picked up Friday at the earliest.

Just a heads up… Facebook Messenger has been sketchy for us lately… sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. If you need to reach us right now with questions etc., the best way is through phone (507) 252-1309 or email ([email protected]) — also to note is that we do not like to be tethered to our digital devices. We check email and messages usually once a day, sometimes twice, depending on how much time we spend outside in the fields. However, once we have open hours, we will always answer the phone during those times unless we are helping a customer. Thanks in advance for understanding this lifestyle/business choice of ours.
