I have loved this guy since he popped out of the nest box, and he has such a cool head and I think as he matures he is going to make a pretty excellent addition to someone’s herd. He has a compact body and is starting to fill out. I am retaining his brother who just has a few more compatible pieces to my breeding does.

FYI I will NOT have any Eat’N Treats available for the Cambridge , MN Show this Saturday. The facility requires a specific vending contract in order to sell there and I am not able to meet the requirements. If you wish to pre-order for delivery there I can do that, but will not have any extras for purchase there.

With that said I can only take limited pre-orders due to some busy work schedules this week as well. So if you want to place an order please place it by Tuesday at 8pm so I can make sure I have time to fulfill it!

We’ve had a few inquiries for what rabbits we may have available at convention, so figured I would make a little post about our game plan.

We will NOT be attending convention in person ourselves but do have some spots on transports that some rabbits could make it there. I’m listing a few notes below about each of our breeds.

Polish:
Right now the only rabbit I know for sure that is available is a Broken Blue Sr. buck that I recently posted. I do not anticipate having any lilac or chocolate available. I may also have blue and black proven does available. They are all currently on litters but will be weaning litters just before convention.

Netherland Dwarfs:
Please see our post about the Tan Variety Trio. We may be able to add other wideband carrier dwarfs to the package as well.

Mini Lop:
I may have a Broken Steel Jr. Buck available, very torn on selling him but I do need to reduce my mini lop Buck count. I don’t anticipate having any other mini lops available by convention.

Dutch:
We only raise gray Dutch and currently have a pair available, we do need to open up space so please inquire soon if you’re interested in them.

We will be having most of what we have available as sales rabbit with us at the Minnesota State Convention in Sauk Rabbits for in person sales first. If we have some left we will post what is available after that.

If you want to reserve any of our sale rabbits message us and we must have a non-refundable deposit to hold them, and they must be paid in full by the Convention Entry deadline for convention delivery.

After a lot of thought I have put together a Tan Trio that can go to a new barn

Eat’N Acres “Graham Cracker” proven Sr Buck.
-This buck has been my primary breeder over the past year and a half and it was hard to put a trio together because almost everything in my barn is directly out of him. He is a large, solid bodied buck but repeatedly produces nice show stock (he has produced peanuts so he is not a false dwarf, he’s just a big boy). He also produced the 2025 convention BOSV Tan and is tightly related to the 2025 national BOV Tan winner.

Eat’N Acres “Harmony” Jr Otter (tan carrier) Doe.
-This doe is wide and full and ready to breed. She is a totter but has a lot of potential to make some beautiful Tan babies when pair with a tan buck.

Eat’N Acres “Golden Hour” Jr Tan Doe.
- This doe brings color to the trio. She has the best rufus of the group. She has a strong shoulder and structured a little better in my opinion than the other two offered in the trio. She is a very complimentary pairing to Graham Cracker.

This trio can make their way to convention for pick up or I can work with transport. Local pickup in Rochester MN.

I do have a couple other rabbits I could be convinced to add to this trio if desired.

I want these to go to someone that will be dedicated to improving the variety and I will be reluctant to sell to anyone new to the breed. Tans are best bred to Tans with occasional outcrossing to otters or agouti to help improve type.

Tan variety is achieved by adding 2 copies of the recessive wideband gene to an otter. Color is then improved by “accumulating and concentrating” rufus modifiers within a herd. The wideband gene and rufus modifiers are incompletely recessive and can often muddle and ruin the color of other varieties. For this reason, Tan dwarfs are often kept as a separate and secluded breeding program within a dwarf herd.

Tan variety is referred to as the most difficult variety to breed in the guidebook and I do believe that is true. I am happy to help teach or mentor anyone interested in working with this color.

I’ve decided to part with my broken blue polish Sr. Buck

Sire: Rocket’s Train Station (broken black)
Dam: Eat’N Acres Sprig (lilac)

I really like a lot about this guy, he has good depth, great ear substance and carries them well. He is lightly marked and could be DQ’d by some judges. I have been showing him some over the summer and this fall and he was DQ’d 1/6 times. I wish he had a bit more width to match his depth, but I think he has the structure and part to help another breeder.

Next upcoming show will be Sauk Rapids, MN
Willing to work with transport but would prefer him to move sooner than later so I can move around some grow outs.

Thanks Town & Country Rabbit Club for hosting a nice show in Princeton!

Evan had a good day with his breeds!
BOB in both shows with Eat’N Acres Crunchwrap Supreme a young junior doe in show 1, and her first time on the show tables! Eat’N Acres McRib was BOB in Show 2.
For Netherland Dwarfs his Chocolate Agouti Doe Eat’N Acres Table Manners was BOSG in both shows!

No major placings in Polish or Mini Lops today, but I added some pics of some of my favorite up and coming Junior bucks!
