Fearmongering around pesticides is the media’s latest boogeyman, don’t you think? There’s always a fearmongering food trend going on in the media clickbait headlines… from gluten to GMOs, glyphosate to sugar, seed oils to fat.
Lately I feel like pesticides are one of the hottest food topics lately. What do you think?
Did you know that the average person would need to eat thousands of serving of fresh produce in order to cause harm?? At parts per BILLION… it’s the equivalent to a drop in an Olympic size swimming pool.
Farmers have had to use pesticides (crop protection products) to protect their harvest from thousands of insects, weeds, diseases and more. Pesticides are also used in organic and have been used in agriculture for thousands of years!
Before you freak out - just remember - media headlines are there to sell products, ideologies, solicit donations, sell apps, wellness supplements, alternative food products, and so much more.
Fear is the new s*x when it comes to selling something. If you’re scared to eat fresh produce, what’s the alternative?? It’s the healthiest thing you can eat!
None of us are getting out of here alive. lol. Enjoy fresh produce and wash it. It’s the best thing you can possible consume.
