🍂 Good crispy fall morning, everyone! 🥶🎃

Frost on the pumpkins this morning as I drove Rowdy to Voorhees at 3:45 AM to head off to the FFA National Convention!

Wishing him, his team, and all our Hunterdon County and NJ State teams the best of luck! 💙💛

Now, back to the farm!

WE ARE OPEN TODAY, FROST AND ALL! 🍁

🥦 Broccoli & Cauliflower – ON SALE! 2 heads for $5!

We still have tomatoes hanging in there, our famous white sweet corn (picked last night before the frost, so we’re golden!), butternut squash, apples, cheese pumpkins, a few regular pumpkins, and white potatoes!

And what else? Not gonna lie, I have absolutely no idea! 🤣 Still sick over here, and this brain fog is NO JOKE! At this point, I’m lucky I remember where the farm is!

So stop on over and stock up while you can!

We’re getting to the end, my friends! The frost has arrived, the season is winding down, and we’re hanging on to every last bit of Jersey-grown goodness we can! ❤️🌽🍂

Happy Saturday, everyone! Busy day here at the farm, but WE ARE OPEN and the stand is stocked! 🥦🌽

Beautiful cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage are here, so come grab them while you can! We’re picking hard to save what we can ahead of tonight’s forecast. If you’ve been meaning to freeze our famous sweet corn for winter, this is your sign. Move it! 🤣

The tomatoes are getting ready for their final farewell, so squeeze in those last few Jersey tomato sandwiches. Winter tomatoes just don’t hit the same!

We’ve also got white potatoes, butternut squash, cheese pumpkins, pumpkins, corn stalks and all your favorites:

Happy National Farmers Day! 🌽🚜❤️

People ask George and me how we work the hours we do. Honestly, when we see that line of people waiting for the first sweet corn of the season, or how excited you get for that first tomato WE GREW, we remember exactly why we do this. (Well, truth be told, I married into it. It was part of the wedding vows: “To love, honor, and be free labor on the farm.” 😂)

You’ve been waiting for it, we’ve been working our asses off to grow it, and seeing you all show up makes those long days worth it.

Now, mind you, by THIS time of year, we’re tired. The enthusiasm we had for that first tomato? Yeah, she’s left the building. 😂 We still love what we do, but we’d also love a nap and a day where nothing breaks.

But we power through because you all keep showing up. You support us, check on us, bring your friends, and make our little stand part of your routine. That means more to George and me than you probably realize.

And to our AMAZING employees—while we’re out in the fields, you’re at the stand with smiles on your faces, taking care of our customers and running the show. We couldn’t do this without you, and we know putting up with us deserves its own appreciation day. 😂❤️

We also want to thank our fellow farmers who help fill the gaps when we need extra produce to keep the stand stocked for you. Farming doesn’t always go according to plan—actually, does it EVER? 😂 We’re a small farming community here in New Jersey, and we work together to bring you that Jersey Fresh goodness. We’re proud to grow alongside you and grateful we can count on you.

So today might be about thanking farmers, but we’re thanking YOU. Our crew, our fellow farmers, and our customers. Without all of you, we’re just two tired people standing next to a whole lot of vegetables. 😂🌽🍅❤️

Good Sunday morning! 🌧️

After careful consideration, The Stand on 202 will be CLOSED today. With rain expected straight through early Monday morning, along with wind and heavy downpours at times, we feel it’s safest for our staff and customers to stay off the roads. Safety is always our #1 priority!

So stay home, watch a movie, and dig through that freezer for all the stuff you bought and never cooked because going out sounded better that night. Oh wait… that’s me! 😂

Be safe, say a little prayer that we keep power, and God willing, we’ll see you tomorrow. Maybe we’ll even run a few specials! ❤️

Let me tell you all… the flu SUCKS! 🤧 A week later and whatever this is, it’s STILL kicking my butt!

Thank God for our amazing employees Joyce, Elizabeth and Sofia for keeping the stand going! Oh, I guess we’ll give George some credit too. 😂 Apparently my sick time has expired. He says I can sit on a tractor with tissues and a blanket because we need to beat the rain and get the hay done. So if you see me coughing in a field looking like death, just look away. SAVE YOURSELVES! 😂

Seriously, take care of yourselves. This has been horrible!

Swing by the stand today, say hi to the girls and grab some of the last of our corn! And yes… it is WHITE SWEET CORN! 🌽

We ONLY grow white sweet corn. It’s practically a written rule here at Perehinys Farm! 😂 We’ve gotten calls asking about bicolor, so let’s clear up the corn confusion! For TWO DAYS a few weeks ago (like mid September), we brought in bicolor from another farm while we waited for our next field—and we told y’all about it.

Our corn right now is white, super sweet and delicious! White as snow before cooking, with a hint of pale yellow afterward. Maybe the flu has everybody a little delirious. 😂

The maters are still tasty, but the season is winding down, so get them while you can! And this weekend is perfect for soup—grab some butternut squash and get cooking!

Another Monday rolling in! How the heck is time flying by this fast?! 🍂

We still have lots of Jersey goodness at The Stand on 202! Grab your corn to freeze, get those maters while they last, and stock up on sweet potatoes that are on point! The butternuts are loaded with flavor and ready for some fall comfort food. 🌽🍅🍠

Come on out and keep us busy—it’s damp, it’s cold, and apparently standing around complaining about it doesn’t count as exercise.

Good morning! 🍂 Love this crisp fall weather. The SPIDERS? Not so much! Last night’s bedroom visitor looked like the one from Gilligan’s Island. Even the dogs went into cartoon reverse mode getting out. 🤣🕷️ Took me 53 years to understand Halloween decorations, October is the month of the Spider!

The Stand on 202 is OPEN! 🌽 Sweet corn, maters, sweet AND white potatoes, apples, green and wax beans, HUGE peppers, pumpkins, acorn and butternut squash! Limited zucs and cukes—the weather is not their friend.

The Sage Dad sourdough today, too! And honey, of course! Try knotweed honey in your warm tea for this lovely “cough, cough” season. 🍯

Also find us at Hunterdon Community Farmers Market on Route 12 in Flemington today! Skip the trip to Ringoes and visit our Sunday crew! ❤️

Final 4 a.m. thought: Remember the October snow and canceled Halloween? We thought the kids’ lives were ruined. Asked mine—they remember NOTHING. So I may have ruined their lives in other ways, but that one won’t come up in therapy. One less thing on my tab! 😂

Happy Saturday! The heat is gone AGAIN, and it’s going to be a beautiful fall day! 🍂🎃

We are so excited for our friends over at Everitt’s Pumpkin Junction—they finally get to open! Head over for corn mazes, pumpkin picking, a train ride, Hun Val ice cream, homemade foods, and so much more. Right here in Ringoes! But here at The Stand on 202, we still have our famous SWEET CORN! 🌽 And we can’t forget our maters! The high tunnel girls are still fighting the good fight. The field maters gave me the middle finger and went straight to tomato heaven. 🍅🤣

HoneyCakes European Bakery is with us, bringing their amazing sweet AND savory treats! And we had to have Pito’s Pinchos here because we are completely addicted to those Cuban sandwiches and funnel cake fries. I don’t make the rules. I just eat the evidence. 🤷‍♀️😂

So come over and see us! Get your lunch, dessert, dinner, and all your Jersey goodness. And stock up on honey, too—cold weather is coming, and a little honey in a hot cup of tea is always a good idea! 🍯

I can’t believe I went a few days without posting, but here’s why… I BROKE MY PHONE. 🤦‍♀️📱 Because apparently I didn’t already have enough going on!

Between being buried in paperwork, being a mom, being on way too many committees, and running all over the state for meetings, this week has been a blur. But we are still here and the stand is still packed with Jersey goodness!

Good Monday morning! Well, it looks like we might not have to finish building the ark. I had the cows all lined up, ready to board two at a time. Oh well… we’re prepared for next time. 🤣🐄

The Stand on 202 will OPEN TODAY at 11:00! We’re giving the rain time to clear out and ourselves time to clean up the stand.

We’ll have a limited selection depending on what we can get out and pick, but I do know we’ll have:
🌽 Corn
🍅 Tomatoes
🍎 Apples
🎃 Pumpkins
🥒 Zucchini
🍿 Popcorn
🥔 White potatoes
🫑 Peppers

And I’m pretty sure the approximately MILLION tomatoes we picked for the weekend are about to become sauce tomatoes! Text me if you want a box saved. It MUST be picked up today! Possibly more available tomorrow.

So, what did you all do over the wet weekend?

I got a ton of paperwork done and had a little too much fun shopping at Staples to reorganize my life after summer. Found a bunch of bills under a pile of crap on the table, so when the power went out, I did have to stop and wonder… was it the storm, or my failure to set up autopay on the electric bill? Hmmmm. 🤔🤣

That’s all caught up now. We’re broke, muddy, and the house still isn’t clean… but I HAVE BINS AND SHELVING UNITS! Apparently, my version of cleaning is buying things to put the crap in. 😂

Basically, I spent a lot of money. Gotta love a good storm!
