The man who pushed his son around the world, in more than 1000 marathons and triathlons, died today. Dick Hoyt the embodiment of resilience and perseverance gave his son a wonderful life.❤️ He loved his son very much and wanted him to see the world, he did just that . We took a few days and hiked the Adventure hiking trail in southern Indiana. Thought it would be appropriate to engrave a rock to leave on our trip. This was a beautiful view and great place to leave it, overlooking the Ohio River.

Our city recently had the honor to bring a fallen Marine home and lay him to rest. We were lucky enough to be part of honoring a true American Hero. I know it is just a couple of bricks to most people but as I was working on these two bricks I couldn’t help to think about this young man and all that his family must have gone through never knowing where he ended up. It was awesome to see the support that he received from the Indianapolis airport all the way to his final resting place. I’m Proud to live in a community that shows so much love and support to our service men and women and proud to have been able to do these two bricks. Thank you for your service and RIP PFC Louis Wiesehan.
