Today we hosted the 21st Annual Ken Rauseo Memorial Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament. This tournament is the longest running, largest, and most lucrative kayak fishing tournament in New England. We gave away over $7600 to 33 anglers in the form of cash, gift cards, merchandise raffles, and a free Nucanoe Flint kayak. Congrats to Ken Wood, Torrence Davis, Tom Maher for placing 1st, 2nd, & 3rd respectively. And congrats to Tammy Sanchez for winning Angler of the Year and a free Solid State Battery from Solid State Marine, so light she can carry it like a purse.

The tournament is now active on Fishing Chaos! As a reminder, this is not a requirement for the derby, as we will still be judging photo entries at the shop for those unfamiliar with using the app. For those anglers comfortable with the app, it will help manage your bag during the day and reduce the time spent at the shop judging the fish by not waiting in line for your fish to be judged.

We recognize the cell service on the lake can be spotty, but once you find service on the lake, or at the shop, anglers will have until 3PM to upload their entries. Use the link below to register if you choose to use the app. See you on Saturday!

Fishing Chaos

Congrats to Jake Angulas for his 6th place finish (out of 241) at the Bass Master kayak fishing tournament on Lake Santee Cooper in South Carolina this past weekend. Conditions were tough and Day 2 was cancelled due to high winds. Still, he caught 11 fish on Day 1, more than any other angler in the top 20.

along with 1600 other customers, we are experiencing a power outage due to the storm. We are closed now and will remain closed until it is resolved hopefully later today. If it gets resolved quickly this morning, we will open this afternoon. And I will post here if that happens.
